Happy Birthday

Hi guys, It's my friend and Neighbours Birthday today so I made her this card,

I used some Ciao bella papers from the Romantic Time collection, distressing the edges of the papers with a little vintage photo distress ink, I layered the top one up with some foam pads,

I used one of the fabulous BlooMar Design frame 012 chip boards which I cut in half, the other half can be used for another project, then simply added some vintage photo ink over the top, I wanted this to blend in with the theme colours as the paper has hints of the brown too,

I then layered a couple of tags I had cut from one of the papers, again adding distress ink on the edges and adding some twine through the hole at the top,

Onto this I added some of my handmade Foamiran Flowers and another BlooMar chip board from the - Floral Elements set under the flowers, this time I only lightly added some distress ink here and there,

I created the flowers using Lady E design dies - Flower 001 in white Silk Foam coloured on the edges with oil pastel added with a wet wipe,
I used the 2nd and Third size up dies and added some Stamens from 14 Craftbar to the centres,

As you can see I grouped three together for my display,
I cut out some leaves in papr using the Lady E design tiny leaves die, again I added a hint of distress ink to some of the leaf ends then bent a few with my fingers to add shape, again another piece of BlooMar chipboard was added on the other side of my flower arrangement,
Using the smaller flower die I added another flower to the bottom of my card, this time at the side of a BlooMar chipboard from the Words set 008,

I finished off the card with a hint of cheesecloth around the flowers and  couple of Finnabair Art pebbles,

Today, Tomorrow, Always

Hi Guys,
Yesterday I showed you some Foamiran flowers I made with Lemon and White Foamiran and lady E Flower 001 dies,
Today I thought I'd show you the card I used them on,

I used the adorable paper by Lemoncraft from the Grow Old With me collection, simply distressing the edges with a little vintage photo distress ink and a distress tool,

I layered up another torn piece of the paper and added some foam tape behind to raise it up from the base of the card,
Before adding the tape I placed the two pieces flat on my desk and placed a heart stencil over the top then added some handmade stencil paste through, when dry I added the tape behind ,

I love this gorgeous chipboard heart from BlooMar designs, I decided to add a little Frantage to the small hearts and heat set them,

As you can see I then placed the foamiran flowers onto the card along the edge of the heart and then trailing down using the smaller sized ones at the bottom, then I added one of the smaller ones at the side of the larger ones inside the heart,
Here you can see I also did the Frantage treatment to another BlooMar chipboard simply adding it on the leaves,

Here's a closer look of the Foamiran flowers,
I've made this for my Hubby for our 39th Wedding Anniversary later this month,

Spring Flowers

Hi Guys, as you know Suha owner of
has some gorgeous Foamiran in stock,

Well as you know I love making flowers out of Foamiran and Suha also has some fabulous Dies that make making the flowers easy to do,

I love making spring coloured flowers at the this time of the year and so this time I used
0.6 Lemon and 0.6 white Foamiran with Lady E Flower 001 dies using the smallest size for the smaller flowers and the 3rd size up for the larger ones, these sizes are fab for cards etc but the die set has larger ones too which are fabulous for flower arrangements,
Of course you can make different flowers with them to the ones I've created here,

I do love these though so will be making more,

Do check out the range of colours and types of Foamiran and the great range of dies to make either Foamiran, paper or maybe even tissue paper flowers,

Believe in your dreams

Hi guys, I thought I'd show you my latest mixed media project I've created,

I saw the fabulous Mood board on Lindy's Gang and thought I'd have a play,

I had an old sardine tin in my stash, so I added two layers of white Geso on it first, then when dry added some  Flat fabio - Plumeria Pink and Starburst Squirts - Polite People Purple, when dry I added this metal text label which I simply dabbed some white Gesso over,
I built up the inside of the tin, by adding some cheesecloth which I had dyed with the same colours,I cut down a piece of chicken wire to fit into the tin and glued it in, then
I then took some wooden branches which I had given the same treatment too, these I glued into a small pile in front of the wire,

Using a Lady E design leaves die I cut two lots out of some paper from my stock, then I added some Dusty Attic chippies in the front, these I had coloured first with white Gesso then painted with Polite People Purple Starburst Squirts, I coloured two of the chippies with some Squirts in Poutine Gold too,
I stamped some Finnabair butterflies onto some watercolour card and using the same purple and pink products painted them on to the butterfly shapes, these I then fussy cut out,
I had these light bulb type things thanks to my hubby which I again painted with some Gesso then when dry painted on the Flat fabio - Plumeria pink,
I painted some bee stamps which were free off  magazines, these I coloured with Squirts - Hockey puck black and again the Squirts - Poutine Gold,

I love the sentiment on this stamp, lol

Best Wishes

Hi guys, Have you seen the gorgeous products by
Laserowe Love that is in store at

I've made a card using the fabulous chipboard background and some of the papers from the
Be With Me collection,
Have you checked them out? they are really gorgeous with some lovely patterns and colours,

I began by distressing the paper edges with vintage photo distress ink and a distress tool, then I layered the smaller piece up with some waste card board from an old package,

I fussy cut around some flowers from one of the papers included in the pack then fixed it over the Triangle chipboard background which I had cut down to the shape, I went over the top with a little distress ink in Vintage Photo,
At the base of the card I used a sentiment fussy cut out from one of the paper strips too, again distressing the edges with vintage photo and my distress tool,

As you can see I also fussy cut around one of the birds that came off one of the paper strips with more images included with the collection,

I made some Foamiran flowers out of Ecru 0.6 Foamiran using the Lady E Design dies Flower 001 using the smallest flower die,

I coloured the pink ones with soft pastels Magenta and Permanent Carmine and the Beige flower with soft pastels, Ochre and Nougat, all of these I added to the cut out flower petal with a damp wet wipe,
(If its to wet it will not stick to the foamiran,) I then added some fussy cut leaves behind this display,

Shabby Chic Violin

Hi guys, I've been playing with my mixed media again, just love getting all inky and seeing how it turns out,
I saw the gorgeous Mood Board for May by Dusty Attic and just had to have a go,

I created the violin using my Silhouette Machine, cutting three layers of the base out of grey board which I simply glued together, then when set painted over some white Gesso,

I used some homemade stencil paste with a Finnabair swirly Florals stencil over one side of the Violin, a little at the base on the left then added some down the middle section beneath the string section, I then added the colours used on the mood board by mixing some Reeves soft pastels with some water,

I began layering the Dusty Attic chipboards (which I had previously painted with white Gesso, then  coloured with the same soft pastels) in place on the left hand side of the Violin,
I started with some of the Marrakesh Trellis small which I cut into shape,

I then added a Iron Accent #2 chippie again which I'd previously coloured, over the top of this I added the Foliage #2 chippie, this goes down the left hand side,
At this stage I hot glued some twine behind the bottom section and wound it around the top pieces of the Violin,

I hot glued a wooden spool on the top section too, finishing it off later with some crackle paste, and art stones,
Having fixed the chipboards in place I started adding some embellishments, using flowers, bits of lace, cheesecloth, sequins, melange art pebbles, Art stones, Micro beads, a metal numeral and a light bulb from my stash,
I added some crackle paint here and there to add more texture then went over this when dry with some Gilding wax,

Vacation To Paradise

Hi guys, well the weather here has turned back to winter, so I decided to make a 3D creation with a lovely summer theme to it, it makes me feel warm and happy when I look at it,

I made the suitcase out of some thicker hard board cut with my Silhouette Machine, then hand cut matching pieces for the insides and outer out of some of the fabulous Mintay Marina paper collection, using some of the images to fussy cut out as well,

I wanted a surreal beach scene for my suitcase so it's got a Mermaids tale on one side which came from Sarah Wrights resin embellishment shop, I coloured the tail with some white gesso then when dry went over with Lindy's gang Magical shakers Bratwurst Brown and Bavarian Blue and then some Flat Magicals Plumeria Pink, then added hints of Finnabair wax Brushed Iron here and there,

I began layering up the base of my display, I cut out a piece of one of the papers then went over with some clear gesso to make it take the mixed media I needed to add, I coloured a piece of cheesecloth with some with some Lindy's Starburst squirts, glued this down then, then mixed together some more of the starburst squirts with some 3d Matte Gel by Finnabair and some Art Stones, this I placed over the top of the cheesecloth to give a look of  a sandy beach,

I took a chipboard frame by Dusty Attic and after covering it with some white Gesso I then went over stippling with some Finnabair patina Effect pastes, I glued a fussy cut out bottle from one of the fabulous images from the Marina papers placing it to one side so part of the frame showed,I then hot glued this in place over the sand effect,

To one side I added some moss which I dribbled some Finnabair Impasto paints over, then when dry added some embellishments, I coloured the small wooden anchor with the patina effect paints the same as the frame,

The Seagull is another Dusty Attic chipboard, this time I simply coloured it with white Gesso adding a couple of layers to get depth and dabbed a bit of the squirts on his beak,

I took a small bottle from my stash and gave it a layer of white gesso, then again when dry added some Bavarian Blue Magical Shakers by Lindy's Gang, love the effect, some tiny shells are glued around here and there,
Another seagull this time on a post with a leaf stem #2 in front coloured with Lindy's squirts finishes off the front,

I added a film strip behind the frame and a little mesh off a wrapper for some fruit (Recycling) lol to give more depth to the scene too, on the other side the mermaids tail was hot glued in place,

My inner scene finished I added a metal handle given the Patina Effect look the same as the frame and the wooden Anchor to tie it all in, then used another of the gorgeous images which I fussy cut out from the Marina Images,
I did the same effect on a metal embellishment I had in my stash too,
The side views show the suitcase with a tiny metal chain inside the lid and box which I again used the patina pastes on to give an aged rusted look but which also held the lid in the correct place,

Think my Granddaughter has her eyes on this, she's just said wow, lol
If you've any questions just ask,
