A change from winter

Hi guys, as you know we don't really do scrapbook pages over here and i have only done a few, but the other day I came across this photo of my son taken at his happiest
FISHING!!!!!!!!!!!! lol,
I thought I'd have a change from my cards and winter/Christmas themed projects and think summer,
He was on the verge of growing up and you could see the man in him he has become and yes he still loves FISHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've kept it quite neutral seeing as it's a fishing scene but added a hint of red to zing it!!!!
I followed loosely the sketch on Dusty Attic, so love their chippies talking of which the Lavender chippies has been tweaked with silks and Micro beads to tie in with the scene,

We always have a laugh in our house, as he catches huge fish now and has won many a trophy but we still rib him about any tiddlers,

We wish you A Merry Christmas

Hi guys, It's time for our new challenge over at
the theme is Christmas,
Here's my project, but you may want to grab a cuppa first as there's a few piccies!!

I've made my village scene using some of the MDF houses by DD, covered with Maja Design papers then my fabby hubby made me a base for them to fix onto,

I added some of the new softboard bricks here and there and some of the gorgeous Sweet Lilac lace in the windows, this I got from their shop in St Helens - Crafts4U2do,
I also used a few of the beautiful flowers and leaves from their online shop too, these i lightly added a little gesso too for a frosted look,

I used Modelling paste on the base of my village and layered it to look like snow, the tree is made using a La La Land crafts die which I cut out 4 times on double sided paper , i used my ScorPal to crease a line down the centre of each die cut then stuck them together on the crease line, this gives a 3D effect tree, to finish this off I added some pearl string and lights,

I die cut quite a few twig die cuts for a wreath effect for round the round window and added a Dusty Attic chipboard bird, this I coloured with my silks, I added more of the DD bricks and coloured them with chalk inks, the charm has a little gesso on too,

The last house is a little smaller so is a little hidden in this picture behind my choir girls, at the end of the house I fixed a die cut lamp which I die cut 5 times in cardstock, glued them together for strenth, added Perfect Pearls aged Patina to give an aged metal effect, then added some flowers on the base and the top of the lamp,
I used a couple of white flowers onto the building to look like a mock star,

All the images are of course by Magnolia and are all coloured with my copics then fussy cut out,

As you can see I have three choir girls singing their carols,

I also used:
Tilda with two little gifts,
 In the snow Ski Tilda,

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas

Hi guys, just thought I'd pop by with a creation I've just finished using lots of whites and textures,

I've had this light weight cardboard display thingy!! for ages it was on sale once for a quid, well i finally thought of something to use it for lol,
sorry a few pictures, so grab a cuppa lol

I started off by painting the whole thing with two coats of white gesso, while that dried I embossed the snowy backgrounds for my scene using a Cuttlebug snowflake folder, this I've had for years too,
I made the hills effect by cutting hill shapes from white cardstock then adding snowtex on the top,
The trees were a gift so I don't know who's the die is, these I added a little snowtex too
I cut some deers out of a Impression Obsession die and the large stag die out of a crafters companion Die'sire die, for a little interest I added ivory frantage to the antlers,
The Lamp is also a die cut can't remember who's sorry, and i added a little snowtex to that too then added glamour dust glitter glue on the top,
The flowers are from WOC, and Sweet Lilac,
The bird house die is by La la Land crafts I got it from Bunny Zoe's, the poinsettia die is by magnolia and thos was given the snowtex treatment too lol,
In the snow Ski Tilda was coloured with my copics then fussy cut out, the snow effect on her is made by Liquid applique, love this for snow balls!!!

I made the cottage from a die and after I had cut the main section I put it through another embossing folder to get the said effect, the roof I added glitter glue too,
the xmas tress behind this are a Memory Box die again these have been snowtexed, then I added another Memory Box die on the base of my wall hanging for a night effect,
TIlda and Santa have again been coloured with my copics then fussy cut out,
On the base here I also did a bit of stenciling with modeling paste using a Tim Holtz stencil,

Last but not least Is another scene using the same effect hills, the sleigh was a die cut my sister cut out for me thanks Ann, and I added snowtex on the sleighs and glitter higher up, Mini tilda was then adhered on top of it with 3D glue after colouring and cutting out,
The gorgeous trees on the right are by La La Land crafts and again have snowtex on them,

Thanks for looking,

A little something different with tutorial

Hi guys, I wanted to do something different and recently made this card using some of my favourite things, lace, pearls and pink, lol

I made the flower using tissue paper, here is how I made it,

I cut about seven layers of different size flowers from the same Sissix die

Taking the largest in your hand layer up the same size rotating them so the petals are in a different place from the last, then take the next size up and repeat the process till you you finish with the last smallest, add a brad in the centre to hold them together,

Hold your flower in your hand and squeeze all the petals up and together into the middle,

As you can see you can't then see the brad in the middle,

Gently pull the layers down till you get the desired look,

This is the look i wanted, with still a little depth in the middle,

Next attach to your chosen card and tweak the petals till happy, I layered mine onto a strip of corrugated card and added a banner using some of my favourite Maja design papers from
The Marrakesh Trellis is by Dusty Attic and i fixed pearls onto the top and a hint of picket fence crackle paint here and there too,
The flourish is by Cheery Lynn, love this die and they cut so easily,
The lace at the bottom is also from LLC
Pearls stash, metal embellishment Bo Bunny,

Love doing something different for a change lol

will look if it fits any challenges later ,

Deep ocean - Handmade flowers
A Creative romance - Pink
