Peonies For You

I'm here today for my monthly post for Swedish House Crafts,
as you know I love Foamiran and making flowers with it, I decided this time to make a display of Peonies type flowers using Silk Foam,

I used two colours of the Silk Foam Pink and White, this is really easy to use and needs no heat from an iron etc, scrunching with your fingers only is enough to keep the petals in shape,

I used  the Lady E Design dies flower 002 for the flowers and leaves 002 for the Calyx's,

I used a medium sized foam ball for the centres of some of the flowers, simply cutting out a circle of the Silk foam, gluing it on top of the ball, then adding petals around the ball layering some of them onto the foam circle to give the appearance of  petals opening, I then added some larger petals around these simply gluing the petal at the base only, I mentioned I used white Silk Foam and on some I edged the petals with some Versa Colour ink in Magenta,

I tried to make the flowers look as individual as I could, by simply gluing some inner petals closed, with an open centre and some with a ruffled centre where I didn't use a foam ball at all,

For this type of flower head I took some of the smaller petals and after scrunching simply glued the petals around a piece of  floral wire, some of these I turned back on them selves too, this gives the look of the flower above,

I altered the amount of petals to the flowers to make them appear buds or fully bloomed as well,

I made some leaves with mid green 0.6 Foamiran and added a little colour on the leaves, these leaves are in the same die set, I then glued them onto a floral wire and inserted them here and there and in between the flowers,
I hope you will have a go at these flowers, they are quite fun to make and look gorgeous for a display,

Boy Or Girl

Toady I'm showing you two Resin pieces from Sarah Wright in her The Resin Embellishment shop which is part of Craft All Day,
I have created two projects, one with a Resin Pram on a card and the other is a Teddy Bear on a photo frame, either could be used for both or lots more,
The Girl card is made with this gorgeous Resin Pram, I coloured it up with some chalks from my stash, then I simply added some Stickles Glitter glue to the Bow,

I used some Gorgeous papers again from Sarah by Crafts And Me from the Little Cuties collection,
I cut out a doily with from one of the papers then layered some fussy cut flowers and a box image from the same collection,

I then hot glued the pram in place, I added some of my handmade Foamiran flowers around the pram and added some tiny pearl string,

I added a  BlooMar chipboard sentiment Little Dreamer to the base of the card along with another fussy cut out flower from the papers, to these I simply added some more of the Glitter Glue,
....................................................

For the Teddy Bear Resin I used it on a photo frame,

I first painted the MDF frame with white Gesso then when dry I swiped over the frame lightly with a wet wipe wrapped around my finger, which I had added some tumbled glass distress ink onto first, this gives a very delicate hint of colour,
I added some stenciling here and there with some Finnabair snowflake stencil paste, this has a hint of a glittery shine in it,

I took some watercolour paper and a stamp set by Cardio - baby Boy washing line, this I stamped out in the tumbled glass, plus mustard seed for the socks, I hand drew the washing line after stamping, then added the stamped pegs,
I added this to the frame behind the glass,

I added some flowers to the frame to match with some natural Sisal,

I then added some blue on his bow tie with a little of the same D/Ink, and hot glued him in place on the frame, again adding a little flower bunch to tie it all in,

You can of course use him on a baby picture in the  photo frame too,

Sarah also sells on Facebook too,

Christmas Time

Can you believe I've created a Christmas card before November!! I know so not me right !!! Lol
But I saw these gorgeous papers by Lemoncraft and they just sung out for this card,
I combined Yesterday papers and grow Old With me,

I've seen they have a Moodboard challenge on at the moment too so I did the centre of the flowers in a peach colour and of course the green of it for the leaves,

I made the Poinsettia flowers out of 0.6 Foamiran and the leaves from paper coloured with my distress inks, the dies are by Lady E Design Poinsettia and winter dies,
I love the clocks they do on some of the Lemoncraft papers and so couldn't resist using one on here, which I layered on top of a snowflake die from my stash,

I added some seam binding and twine to finish it off,

I then finished it off with a BlooMar chipboard from the latest Christmas collection, this I coloured with distress ink Vintage Photo then I dabbed white Gesso here and there over the top and also on the rest of the card,

Happy Birthday

I made this card for my Brother-in-laws Birthday which was yesterday, so I can pop this on my blog now,  he probably won't have seen it but you never know, lol

I used the fabulous papers by Stamperia from the Cosmos paper collection, I love the colours and designs,  I also love the bird which appears quite 3D, I layered up various papers from the collection, I then used a tag die for one, simply distressing the edges, I then added some natural twine on the tag,

I know mens cards don't always have flowers on them but I made some out of paper using the Lady E Design die flower 5 Hydrangea and behind I used the leaves 6 herbs dies out of some of the paper from the collection,
I coloured the centre of the flower heads with some Versa Colour - Celedon which matched in with the colours, stamens are from 14 Craftbar, I also added a hint of twine behind my flowers and leaves too,

On the bottom of my card I added a Happy Birthday Chipboard sentiment by BlooMar Design from the words set 008,

Exploding Box with BlooMar Chipboards

I made a video the other day showing you some of the latest gorgeous chipboards available over at BlooMar Design,

I've created another Video using the 3D lantern 02 and One of the frames 039,on an exploding box

https://youtu.be/b4Vg2zzVw7c

Here are some photo's of the box too,

I used Mintay papers - Home For Christmas and a BlooMar Frame 039 on the lid,

Inside I used the 3D Lantern 02

Adding some home made Foamiran flowers made with lady E Design dies leaves 002 and Flower 001, these I first made smaller by placing them onto a fairly hot iron, this shrinks the foamiran, then I let the Foamiran rise off the iron by holding a skewer in the centre till it had raised, this helps shape the flower heads,
I made leaves out of the leaves die 6 herbs, using White card stock and glitter card,

I used fussy cut images on each inner section,

I hope you enjoy my Video on my You tube channel,

Happy Anniversary

I received this gorgeous resin heart as part of my GDT package for Sarah Wright who owns
All Day Crafting and this is from The resin Embellishment which is part of that online shop too, she also sells via Face Book,

Anyway I thought wow, so many uses for this heart, wedding etc but went for a shabby chic Wedding Anniversary look instead,

The papers are by Stamperia from the Ceremony paper collection, these I also bought off Sarah, they are gorgeous and love the colours, I layered up a few layers some with foam pads behind after cutting them to size then I distressed the edges with vintage photo distress ink and a distress tool,

I then layered some lace from my stash across the card, then hot glued the Resin Heart over the top,
I added a bow made out of Seam Binding, a little sisal, a twine Bow and finished it off with a pearl looking bead,
Lastly I added a fussy cut out Butterfly from one of the papers,

I added a BlooMar Design Wedding Anniversary Chip Board at the top to finish it off, this was kept in it's natural colour,

Three different looks of Paper And Foamiran Poinsettias

I thought I'd show you today some of the latest Poinsettias I've created, using the same Poinsettia with winter leaves die set but some out of 0.6 Foamiran and some out of  paper, well 180 GSM water colour card stock, but hey who's quibbling!!! Lol

I coloured both types with the same colour in the centre using a Versa Colour ink pad,

I heated the Foamiran ones lightly on a moderatly hot iron for a few seconds after first colouring them, this makes the centre of the flowers rise a little, I then gently shaped the petals with a ball tool
Here I layered two flower heads together, alternating the petals, then added some stamens in the middle,

The other Poinsettias like I said I made out of card stock,
these I created two ways,

On this type I coloured the flower heads as before, then slightly dampened them with a water spray bottle, when they started lifting off the mat or whatever you have underneath I placed the flower head upside down and taking a very small ball tool creased along the middle of each petal from the centre to the tip, this makes a very pronounced line, leave to dry then layer two or three layers alternating the petals as you go, add stamens in the centre to finish,

On this type of paper Poinsettia, I again coloured the centres, and again lightly sprayed the flower heads with water, when they start rising off the mat like before, I took one of the heads at a time and turned them upside down on a foam mat but this time again taking a very small ball tool I went around the edges of each petal pushing down gently, this crinkles the petal edges,
So that's three different looks from the same die,

I also cut some of the winter leaves from the die set as well, these I cut out of light weight paper, then coloured with an ink pad,

A little Bit Of Rustic Country Home

I've another bit of Mixed media on my blog today, as you know the lovely Sarah asked me to be a GDT for her Resin Embellishment Shop, which is part of  her Crafting All Day online shop, Sarah sells through Face Book as well, I just got some awesome Resins in my box, I mean wow!!

So what to choose first, well it had to be this gorgeous Resin window, yes I have a thing for windows, don't like cleaning them though!!! lol

so anyway here is my mixed media tag ,

I have some MDF tags in my stash so I started with one of those and cut to shape a piece of paper from the Stamperia Roses and Laces collection pad, this I then distressed along the edges before fixing onto my tag,
I added some twine through the hole in the top,

I hot glued the inner sections (Shutters) of the window so it appeared open then added some Finnabair wax on the top for a little added colour, then glued some cheesecloth behind, I then hot glued this on place, around the window are some Dusty Attic Mini bricks, which I colovered with some Finnabair pumice stone effect paste then when dry went over with vintage photo distress ink and ground Espresso, this gave a lovely rustic look to the bricks,

I used a real branch of a tree which fell off last fall, I then  trimmed it down to size and shape, I glued a Bloomar chipboard fence onto the tag, which I had simply coloured with some vintage photo distress ink over the top, then I  glued the branch in front of that, at the top of the branch and around the right hand side of the tag I added some Moss,
some metal gardening tools from my stash and a paper flower I had made from a Lady E Design flower die, Flower 5 Hydrangea was placed at the front too, along with some tiny leaves from the Tiny Leaves die,

I used some more of the paper leaves and some flowers made with the same die and paper then added some foamiran ones made with the Tiny Flowers dies, again by Lady E Design,

I hope you like my rustic looking  country home tag,

The Key To My heart

I saw the fabulous MoodBoard over at Dusty Attic and just had to have a go, the colours and images are gorgeous, as you may know I love mixed Media and creating with chipboard, so I
had this fantastic Dusty Attic Gorgeous Entangled Heart in my stash and couldn't resist using it on a wooden heart I've had in my stash a while just waiting for the right moment,

I added a little texture to the base of my wooden heart with some  Finnabair stencil paste and a Finnabair stencil, then used some Lindy's gang Flat Magicals diluted with water over the top, when dry I added some crackle paste here and there then went over this with some vintage photo distress ink, and went over that with some waxes by Finnabair to tie in the colours,

I took the Enchanted heart which I had previously coloured with three colours of Finnabair wax and added some pieces of cut off chip board behind to raise it up, then hot glued it in place, this allows other chip boards  and embellishments to be placed under and around it,
Taking some Foliage #2 and mini Branches #2 I added some crackle paste to some, and some pumice stone effect paste to others, then gave them also a coat or two of the waxes,

A little Sisal in natural colour and a hint of lace are also in the background,

This wooden heart has a very long point to the base so I allowed the foliage to follow the shape, simply layering the depths, colours and finishes together,

To finish the heart off I added some of my paper flowers made with Lady E Dies from the Flower 5 Hydrangea collection, onto 180 GSM paper coloured with Versa colour Misty Mauve and Versa Magic Pink Petunia  when I had shaped them I hot glued them in place,

In real life it looks beautiful, and I love it!!! Lol

Just be yourself

Hi guys, I thought I'd show you a card I've made using some gorgeous papers by A.B. Studios paper flowers made with Lady E Design dies and a brilliant digital stamp by Georgia Cruz Lima from
She is called Tita,

I coloured her with my Copics which are running out fast, but I thankfully managed to colour her before they did, then I fussy cut her out,

The papers are from the Enchanted Flowers collection, they are stunning, I even got my sewing machine out to sew my paper, I used to always do this!!! don't know why I stopped, lol
The papers are made out of 180 GSM  watercolour card stock using Lady E Design dies flower 5, the leaves are Leaves 6 Herbs and Tiny Leaves,

I added a little Sisal behind the flowers too,

I spaced the flowers around my card using two or three flowers together using the colours of the image,

Full view again,
