Hi guys, I'm back today for The mad Scrapper design team, with another of my mixed media makes using some of the fabulous products Janine sells in her bricks and mortar and online shop,
Of course it's online only at the moment due to lockdown but you can still order all the awesome products without having to wait,
I love to alter old used paint brushes and hubby found this one which was just right for the beautiful chipboard and flowers I had got to go with it,
Next I went over the handle with some Finnabair stone effect paste, putting it on quite thick, to give some fabulous texture,
When completely dry I painted over everywhere I had previously used the Gesso as well as the Stone effect paste, with Finnabair opal magic acrylic paint in yellow/pink, set this aside to dry really well.
Meanwhile taking the beautiful Dusty Attic Mystic Frame #2 and the Finnabair Tapestry stencil with some Finnabair modelling paste adding it to the middle of the circle, let dry, then when dry add some of the same acrylic paint in yellow/pink, again leave to dry, I added some Finnabair white wax on the chipboard parts I had left with the white Gesso,
At this point I glued the chipboard to my old paint brush placing it so the bottom of the flourish on the frame lined up with the bottom of the brush,
Again I used some old smaller paint brushes from my stash which again I painted first with gesso then the Yellow/pink, when dry I glued them in place at an angle on the brush,
I then started decorating the finishing touches to my brush, by using some of the gorgeous flowers Janine sells, the large white ones are from the 49 and Market Blossom Blends - Cotton, following the smaller paint brushes as a guide, in between the larger flowers I added some 49 and market -flower series no1 in cream and one white rosebud at the bottom,
I decided to add some metal embellishments as well for variety and added interest, so on the circle part previously stencilled I added two metal hearts from the Finnabair Mechanicals - Tin hearts, and some metal leaves from the Finnabair Mechanicals - Woodland leaves collection,
I then used another Dusty Attic Butterfly I had in my stash, this I left in it's natural colour,
I really love how this turned out and seeing as this is my last DT make as Janine will have a new Design team for the next six months, so lots of new ideas will be coming to you soon, so make sure you check in for that,
I wish to thanks Janine very much for the honour of being on her first ever Design Team, and wish her well for the future and who knows you may well see me again in the future,
