Lemon Harmony

Hi guys, I'm back today with a mixed media project of one of my favourite things, A violin!!

Last week hubby was off for a week and he took me to my favourite craft shop in Scotland, The mad Scrapper which is quite a few hours drive from where we live, they have lots of gorgeous Dusty Attic chipboards, various papers, mixed media products by Finnabair to name but a few, so while there I spotted this gorgeous Dusty Attic Violin chipppie I have no idea why they appeal to me so much but I love them,

Dusty Attic is having a gorgeous  mood board this month and it went perfectly with the colours I wanted to use too,

I used a Finnabair tapestry stencil on the base with Finnabair texture paste to give some texture, when dry I glued it all together then I coloured the base then with white Gesso then I sprayed some watered down silver watercolour paint over the top, then I did highlights here and there with some yellow pink opal magic acrylic paint again by Finnabair, then went over some more areas with a darker yellow watercolour,

I added another couple of chippies by Dust Attic the French Flourish on the string section and a Mini scroll on the lower section, which is shown below, I added some embossing powder to these chippies before gluing in place,

Hopefully you can just see the mini scroll on the picture above, I added lots of paper flowers from my stash along with some paper embellishments from the 49 and Market vintage Artistry butter collection, these are gorgeous and again I bought them from the Mad Scrapper in Scotland

I also added one of the mini cogs which came with the Violin which I simply cut in half, painted in the colours then added some mini beads over the top from my stash, I also added some metal numerals which The mad Scrapper sells too,

I finished the Violin off with some crackle paste and some Melange Art Pebbles,
