Happy Birthday Mum

It's my mums Birthday today she 88 years young bless her, I made her a card using some flowers made out of  Foamiran, which came from 14 craft bar , sadly my DT term has now ended but I loved being given the opportunity to play with some gorgeous products,

I made the flowers out of Ecru Foamiran using 4 colours of oil pastel, randomly colouring the petals to get the varied effect,

I made my flowers out of quite a few different dies from my stash and added the same stamens so they all linked in,

I also lightly coloured the white base of the stamens to match in with the colour too,

I finished my card off with some chipboard and a doily made with a die again from my stash,

My latest display with foamiran Flowers

Hi guys, I want today to show you a collection of flowers I've made as a display using some of the fabulous Foamiran from Agnes at 14 Craft Bar,

I've made quite a few flowers using the same  multi flower die, just using different sized petals and gluing them in a different way too, this means one die set can give lots of beautiful flowers for the cost of one die set,

I used 0002 Ecru Foamiran as the base of most of my flowers, then I simply coloured the petals with some oil pastels, for this flower I used a die from my stash, after cutting out the petals I scrunched the petals up after colouring with the oil pastels and then spread them in the middle of the petals leaving the tops scrunched up as much as I could, For this flower I also used some stamens,

This flower was made using the multi flower die using the next to largest sized petal and again some of the stamens, I also coloured the edges of the petals with some oil pastel but in a lighter colourway this time,

This small rose bud style flower has Ecru foamiran on the outer petals with some Apricot silk foam for the inner ones, again the multi flower die was used for these,( please excuse my glue strings, they always show more under the lamp I use to photograph my images with) these can be easily removed of course!!!! LOL, I then used some Olive Green foamiran for the leaves just colouring the edges with another oil pastel too,

Again I made this flower out of the Multi flower die, colouring the edges of the outer petals the same way and using some silk foam in Apricot for the centres,

Here is another of the style of flower I showed above,

Here I used the Multi flower die using the 3rd sized petal up for a Rose Bud styled flower again using the Apricot Silk foam and Olive Green for the leaves,

This open curly rose styled flower was made using pale peach Foamiran for the outer petals coloured with the paler oil pastel as used before for another flower, then I used the Ecru Foamiran onto which I added no extra colour for the centre petals,

I used the Rosy Dot die AC2  and the pale peach Foamiran for the small flower bunch , these I coloured with the oil pastels and added a tiny button from my stash for the centres, this style of flower bunch makes a great filler for the display as shown,

This is the finished top view of my flower display, where you can see most of the different types of flowers I made,

As you can see I arranged the flowers with some larger hand cut leaves and more rose buds,

Have a go at the different styled flowers you can make with the fabulous range of Foamiran, stamens, dies and stencils plus lots of other products over at 14 Craft Bar too,

One for the Boys

Hi guys, last week I needed to make a card for a 16 year old boy, well what do you do for that you may be wondering, so I put my thinking cap on and made a box card, he thought it was cool so I think he liked it!!, lol

All the elements used for the card came from Swedish House Crafts using some of the fabulous papers by Maja Design and lots of dies from there too,
I made the main base of the box using the Monochrome card in Charcoal, this went fabulously with the Maja Design papers from the Celebration range, ( this goes to show they don't have to be used for ladies creations too)

After cutting down the paper to fit the sides and folded flaps I then started to fill in the middle sections of the box,
I used the same paper range for the Balloons and the Monochrome card for the stars streamers and a couple of candles, the great stars were made using the Doo-Hickey die - Celebration stars, these have solid stars and an outline of one so I mixed and matched these in both design and colour, the candles are a die by Gummiapan, the streamers die  was from a previous Doo hickey box volume 14,

As you can see I added my die cuts on pieces of acetate, fixing some to pieces of foam for added depth too, at the back i used one of the strips from the bottom of the papers as a banner,

On the front I did the same thing with another of the strips from the paper, then added a die cut using some of the number dies by Gummiapan, as well as one of the stars from the Doo Hickey die,

Here I used the cute Alphabet dies again by Gummiapan for his name and this shows the stars fixed together, I achieved this by using both the inner and outer stars just cutting out the shapes in  two sides of the monochrome paper and using them together,

I finished off the other side with a die cut cake again from the Doo Hickey Box volume 14 and one of the stars which I raised up with a foam pad,

I hope you like my card/box why not have ago and if you do show us on our face book page too,

Happy Birthday To You

Hi guys, I thought I'd show you today how I used the gorgeous Adorable  Bestie Blooms Img 917 which I made into a card for a friend of mine,

I coloured her with my copics using pinks to match in with the background papers, (but she looks awesome in other colours too,) the papers  are a collection from my stash and as usual I have distressed the edges, this is being sent in the post so even though it's shabby Chic it will fit in a ordinary  flat envelope,
Check out this and all the other fabulous Images and papers,
You can see this card and lots more over at My Besties colour and create Magazine for lots more inspiration,

Pretty In Pink

Hi guys, I thought I'd show you today a Hairband I've created using some of the fabulous products from 14 Craft Bar,

I started off with one of the brilliant Hairbands onto which I wrapped some white ribbon round, these are available from 14 Craft Bar as well as the Foamiran used,

I made the Roses using the Multi flower dies,

The buds were made suing the 2nd sized up die and 002 Ecru Foamiran, I added a little colour to the top edges of one of the buds with a  No 39 Pental oil pastel,
The medium sized Rose shown above was made using the 2nd and £rd sized dies, using 007 pale pink Foamiran,

the larger Rose was made using the 3rd and 4th sized petals and  007Pale Pink Foamiran, I used some oil Pastel to colour more of the petals while the middle petals I kept to the 007 Foamiran,

I hand cut some leaves out of 020 Olive Foamiran which I coloured on the edges with  the oil pastel too,
My Granddaughter couldn't wait to put it on!!! Lol

As you may be able to see from the picture above, I used white floral tape on the wires so they matched with the white ribbon and therefor didn't show as much,

Check out all the gorgeous products in store at 14 Craft Bar
Happy Creating!!!

Lose Your Mind Find Your Soul

Hi guys, I am here today to show you a
Pop Up box I made some of the gorgeous Maja Design papers from the Sofiera collection and some of the adorable stamps available at

I wanted to keep my box delicate looking so I used some vellum for the Butterflies and the verses,

I thought how fab this stamp by Gummiapan text stamp went with the gorgeous butterflies, I used a Versa mark ink pad to stamp onto the vellum then added some white embossing powder from my stash for all the text and the Butterflies too,
Talking of which these adorable Butterflies are made with the Gummiapan Morpho small and  medium butterflies stamps,

On the back section I again made my text the same way, then I cut out the vellum with a pierced scalloped oval die in the vellum and again in some white card stock, in the centre of this one I placed a stitched oval die and placed it through my die cutting machine again, this left a tiny scalloped border which I then glued behind the vellum scalloped oval, I love the effect !!!

I fussy cut my different sized butterflies then glued them onto thin cut strips of acetate, when dry I then added them here and there at different heights and depths to the inside of my box, I then finished off my box with some of the gorgeous flowers available at Swedish House Crafts too,
