Happy New Year!

Hi peeps,
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas, with lots of goodies too lol,
It's time for the colour create challenge and this week it's set by our lovely Dena who has chosen
Red, white and pink, with the option of hearts,
I've had to kick my mojo into gear I'm afraid as it had gone to sleep, I think  it's still asleep!
I've been in a Distress ink mood lately so the image is coloured with Antique Linen, Fired Brick, Victorian Velvet, Tattered rose, and a hint of Weathered Wood, the background is painted too,
The lovely image is of course a Lily Of the Valley one,
punch is a Martha Stewart border, all other items from stash,
I've still got two men home this week so it doesn't give me much time to be on my computer as as soon as I go on it I guarantee one or the other calls me !!!
 see you soon,
Have a fabulous New Year!
Bye for now!

Favourite Five

Hi peeps,
The lovely Debby is doing a little fun challenge over on her blog here and it to list your favourite five Christmas cards of this year, so here goes
This has to be my top favourite, I really enjoyed making this and it came first on MDU and Just Magnolia so how could I not lol,

I love the sparkle and tulle on this,

Loved the fact that it's not square,
Love the shading on this, took ages but fun,
Made this for mum, loved the layers and she loved it too, thankfully lol,
Well that's my top five, thanks for finding the time to look,
hugs Liz xx

Merry Christmas

Hi Peeps,
Yes it's still freezing cold here but I think we may have missed the snow again, we had to laugh the council finally used a snow plough down our lane yesterday, but as it got to the main road it broke down, so it caused all sorts of problems worse than the snow! and yes you guessed it, only half a job of clearing the snow too lol,

Anyway I'm just wishing you lots of wishes for a perfect Christmas
with lots of enjoyment and fun in the New Year too!
I will probably be back on before then, but this is just  in case I don't!

HO HO HO!

A Gift for you

Hi Peeps,
We've had no more snow as yet but gosh it's freezing, I've got my heating on and it's still cold lol,

Made this bookmark as a little extra for my mum for Christmas, she loves to read and so I thought she will like this, well hopefully anyway!

As you can see I've made it that it sits on the front of the book, so I could add layers and embellies and the ribbon with a heart charm is used for the marker,

This is another gorgeous Tilda from the new collection, I'm loving these, coloured with Distress inks, the edge has a Adirondack pearl dabber used on it, and I've added some to the butterflies too,
the flowers are Prima, butterflies Martha Stewart, buttons, pearls and twine stash, I've used three sizes of labels Nesties,
The background is painted with DI's too but I've gone for a subtle look,
As you can see the third nestie has been used for the sentiment, this I've kept fairly plain so it would rest  flat against the book,

Challenge:
Magnolia Down Under: A Gift For You,

Were supposed to be going food shopping this afternoon, as it gives more snow maybe for tomorrow and the village hadn't had a food delivery since Saturday, so we struggled to find just the basics, oh the Joys!
I will be back later in the week with my Christmas wishes, so bye for now,

One for the girls

Hi peeps,
I just can't get my head round it being so close to Christmas at all lol,
We are supposed to be having family for the day but yesterday they said on the weather we may get yet more snow, so who knows! as they live about nineteen miles away it's a bit far to walk ha ha,
Enough of my waffling and onto the challenge which is for
How girly can you get,
told you you'd like it!

Card created using one of Susie's gorgeous  book dies, which I've added Distress inks to the page,
the lily of the valley image is coloured with copics, cut out twice and then the top layer ie her arms, dress and on leg have been added on top and layered on with pinflair glue,
pink pearl string, roses white feather, pearl heart, and ribbon all from stash,
Hope you join us in our gorgeous girly challenge, I know I enjoyed it lol,
check out the rest of my teamies gorgeous creations too, and to see some changes which are coming!
well that's all for now,
see you soon,

Yeah! not christmas lol,

Hi peeps,
Are you all ready for the big day?
we still have snow about ten inches deep where it's not been trudged through, it looks gorgeous but is causing havoc lol,
the card I've got to show you today is using one of the new Magnolia stamps that came last week, I was so excited as I didn't know they were due yet, they are gorgeous, and I just couldn't wait to stamp them up lol, I was in a distress ink colouring mood, (what no copics) lol, and really enjoyed the relaxing effect of blending the image and background lol,

The lights a bit full on on this picture which is taking the true colours away a little, that's what winter does when you've to use a day light ha ha,
the circle is again the gokreate large one and Ive made it into an easel style,
the balloons at the side are stamped using two colours of distress inks, cut out then diamond glaze added, then a wire stem added for the tail,
papers are Tim Holtz, shabby chic, I've loved this book of papers and must get some more,

The colours are a little better on this picture, although I have distressed behind her with two colours and I don't know if you can see that very well, more practise needed with my camera lol, the flower is made up of white papers covered with DI'S and scrunched up then silver glimmer mist is added too, the blue pearl brad has a silver edge too,
the flower is a Tim Holtz die and looks better in RL than it does on here lol,
the butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch and the circle is a Marianne die,
the leaves are silver honest and are a MS punch too,
A silver bow, white feather, machine stitching, star dust glitter glue and silver liquid pearl finishes it off,
Challenges:
Simon says stamp ~ Blue, silver and white,
Totally Tilda ~ Easel card
Hope your all having a lovely weekend, back tomorrow with my DCD, DT card,

Just seen Roberta from prairie fairy has added yet more yummy candy for having 800 followers, the candy is for spreading the word about her coming back to blogger and her fairy fun Friday challenge is back too,
candy open till the 24th December and she will announce it on the 26th,
will be back with a card tomorrow, hope your all having a lovely night,

Snow is falling!

Hi Peeps,
Snow is falling all around me!
well last night mostly but who's counting lol, gosh it's about eight or nine inches deep and it's just started again, poor Tilly came in covered in tennis sized balls of snow on her legs and belly so it was in the nice warm water to warm her up and melt the stuff as it wouldn't come off her any other  way lol,
There's supposed to be a road here somewhere!!

Look at the snow on the bin lid! how mega!!!
Just thought I'd show you the piccies of our wonderful winter wonderland, back tomorrow with a card,
hugs Liz xx

It's in the bag!

Hi Peeps,
Todays the day for Colour create, and Paper play challenges, for once I've combined the two as when I did this I was again full of a cold and felt really weary, gosh I bet your sick of hearing that aren't you, well the good news is I think it's gone yeah!
Colour creates challenge is:
Plum and white with the option of frames, our lovely Julie's choice this is and you should see the gorgeous card she's made too,
Paperplays challenge is our lovely  Mandys choice and it's for anything but a card and will run for two weeks, the new challenge starting on the 6th January 2011,

Here's Julie's inspirational picture,
I'm entering this into the following challenge,
Ellephantastic ~ Christmas/ winter
I chose to decorate a bag for my daughters Christmas present, she adores these colours so it fit in perfectly,
Ive sewn the edges of my papers and layered them up too, Tilda is coloured with copics, cut out and stuck on with pin flair glue,
The scalloped circle has a Magnolia stamped ring of snowflakes on that in RL sparkle only typically you can't see them very well here lol,
Hopefully you can make it out a bit more here, I used a moonlight  white brilliance inkpad then went over it with clear embossing powder and used my heat gun to set it,
Her fur trim is flower soft and her wings are Glamour dust,

I then finished it off with these domed stickers I've had for yonks, hidden in the bottom of a drawer and added toning ribbon for the handles,
Large snowflake is a Marianne Die, smaller ones quickcutz, white heart pins, stash and the lovely little charm from Susie at Die cut Dreams
hope you enjoy our challenges, look forward to seeing your creations,

Last minute Christmas lol,

Hi Peeps,
First of all I'm sorry I've not been visiting you much, I'm full of a cold and it's making me really tired, and last night just when I thought I'd get on to my computer Kay turned up so that was that lol,
I've made my card using the go kreate circle again, don't know if I said the right circle last time, duh blame it on my cold!
Anyway I decided I liked it that much I made another using a similar design, and I've also used up scraps of Christmas paper too so it's a good job it's one of my last ones he he,

I've used one of my favourite Tildas, and I think she could be used not only at Christmas and she works so well with the circle shape, and then of course Santa Edwin, I think it looks like she's sneaking up on him, to give him a present lol,
I've stitched all my papers and the image too, first time for stitching paper in a circle, used to do round cushions at work on cloth but not paper lol, then I also distressed the edges too, not on my cushions!!!
for the background I've used antique linen DI's, then a grunge stamp and then a script stamp, looks fab but you may just be able to see it on here, if you use a magnifying glass lol,
Edwin is sat on brown thick thread which is threaded through a slit near Tildas feet so I could lap it back and tie it at the side,
Both images are coloured with Copics,
Here's a closer look of the background, still need a magnifying glass?
the sentiment stamp is coloured with antique linen, fired brick, and bushed corduroy DI's, the edge is covered with Star dust stickles, and the leaf is a McGill pine leaf punch, red gems stash.

The flowers have star dust Stickles down the veins, I've made another bow to continue the design, spellbinders tag distressed with Antique linen Di's again with grunge stamp on the edges, and a stamped greeting,
Hopefully you can make out the Platinum dots of Stickles glue I've used all the way round the outer circles, these have also been distressed,
Put this on for those of you with no Magnifying glass, lol
Edwins fur is Star dust Stickles and he's been cut out and mounted using Pin Flair glue,
Challenges,
Magnolia down Under ~ Red, Brown and cream,
Allsorts ~ Last minute Christmas,
Lots to do ~ Glitz,
Hanna and friends ~ Christmas in red,
Phew! thanks for still being here, bet you need that cuppa now, one or two sugars? lol,
See you soon, have fun,

DCD DT Card

Hi Peeps,
Hope your all well and your getting ready for Christmas nicely,
the challenge for Die Cut Dreams is to use fairies, well some of my lovely teamies have used Fairies with a Christmas theme so for those of you still needing to make some you still can, lol
I've used a fairy image from Lily of the Valley, just love her,
Challenge:
Cutie Sunday, Colours but not Christmas

I've used a different style for this card for a change but it's a little hard to photograph lol, the image is coloured with copics, layered onto three nestie shapes using Papermania cardstock, the papers are from the Jack and Jill collection from prima,

I made this when I was full of a cold and my head felt wuzzy so it feels a little plain to what I'm doing at the moment lol, are you like me you get into something and it's hard to do plain after!
Anyway for other gorgeous inspiration go to DCD and see the gorgeous projects my team mates have made,
and of course to see the winner from last week,
We are still here next week too, so don't forget to check in on Monday for another fantastic challenge, one I'm sure you'll love!
See you soon,

Fab candy

Hi peeps,

Ive, just seen this awesome candy available here and just wanted to spread the word, check it out if you haven't already, hugs Liz xx

An easel card for you

Hi peeps,
Wow I'm so excited, I went on just Magnolia yesterday to see this weeks challenge and saw I'd won card of the month for November, I was stunned to say the least as I didn't expect to see it and I thought at first my computer was playing up and it had put me back on my blog lol,
So I just wish to thank all the girls for making my day,

The card I've made here is for my daughter and her husband, Kay doesn't overly do girlie and fussy so I can never go overboard with her stuff, right tom boy she was as a child, hated Pink, so there was no body more surprised than me when she had pink bridesmaids, mind you they weren't a girlie pink lol,
gosh I'm waffling, must be this darn cold I've got lol,

The card shape is made using a circle go kreate  die, I would love to get the scalloped  edge one too but I've not managed to find that yet, the images are of course Magnolia, coloured with copics using Neenah classic crest card, which I thought I'd try for a change, it seems ok and will let me add Distress inks to the background which my other card wouldn't,
I stamped Tilda on to the card, cut the circle, cut out Edwin and sat him on some ribbon which I've threaded underneath Tilda by cutting slits near her feet and threading it through, the rest of the background is made with a grunge stamp using Antique linen Distress ink and I've then blended the same colour round the circle and near the images, I've also used a gold dauber to highlight the gold and used it round the edges of my outer cardstock citrcles too, there is also a Lily of the valley small sentiment stamp on too,
My papers are Magnolia and I've edged them with Platinum stickles, the  Butterflies are edged in the gold dauber and then little gold gems are added to bring in the ones on the circle,

The edges of the Doo Hickey tag are edged too,
The flowers are from a craft event I went to,

Challenges:
Just Magnolia ~ Christmas card,
Totally Tilda ~ With love,
Timbroscrapmania ~ Red and green
Well apart from some star dust stickles on her clothes, two red heart pins and a bit of gold twine and a spellbinders tag with computer generated sentiment, I thinks that's it, phew are you still with me lol,
I hope the piccies look alright, I dropped my camera the other day onto a laminate floor, how it's still working is beyond me lol,
Hope you all have a lovely weekend with lots of fun,

ZZZZZZZ

Hi Peeps,
Is the weather any better for you now, we have sun shine but it's a cool wind that's blowing, this little chap that's on my card has the right idea lol,
The gorgeous image is by the lovely Di, available here,  and it's called
Snoozy Christmas,
Di also has another freebie on her site at the moment too,
He's coloured in copics, as per usual for me at the moment lol, and his fur trim is glamour Dust, the plonk is done with a clear star Gelly roll pen ,
Right that's all for me for now as I've to wash the dog, oh the joys!

It must be Christmas Eve!

Hi Peeps,
Can you believe I'm back with a second post of the day, I've done this card for Jim, so I need to get it out the way for later, and hope he doesn't look at my screen lol,
I've used two Magnolia images for my card, I got the chair and thought if I don't use this it will sit there for ages so it's had an airing , the challenge over at Magnolia down under is to make your own patchwork background, well it is there honest, look closely, well hidden, I will admit but that's why I then made a cushion for the chair, using exactly the same papers and stitching,
Copic creations want to see ~  Light source, well the light is hitting my rather worn comfortable old armchair, which has seen better days but is much loved,  and the presents have shading too,
Hopefully you can see the shading on Santa, with his waist band you should be able too, hark at me you should see mine, no were not going there THANKYOU!!!
Just Magnolia's challenge is anything goes, with sparkle, well his fir trim has sparkle, still it does only get worn once a year so it should lol,

Put this on twice as I think I cropped the first one a little too much lol, and there was me thinking I was being so clever with a fade out edge and everything lol,
This is cropped a tad more just in case you haven't got the picture lol,
Yes Santa's head is meant to be missing I didn't crop it that much lol,
Oh well, it's starting going colder again now, roll on summer!
Back tomorrow,

Not Christmas phew!

Hi peeps,
Made this the other day for a commissioned card for a couple getting married on Christmas Eve! can you imagine it, I can't cope with Christmas never mind a wedding too,
Luckily they knew the colour scheme needed and she wanted charcoal grey, red and silver, well I chose to use the gorgeous wedding couple from Lily of the Valley as I just love this stamp and use it so often,
Challenge ~ LOTV~ use your favourite stamp etc,

Because it was Christmas colours I tried hard not to get it to look to Christmassy lol,
the dress is decoupaged using pin flair glue, highlighted with a glitter pen, the rest is coloured with copics and I've used a grunge scroll from the grunge stempelglede collection, love these, the leaves and heart is silver Mirri, but the camera doesn't like that stuff,

The sentiment is computer generated on a spellbinders tag,
Flowers~ Papermania, pearl string~ Hobbycraft, ribbon~ stash,
Star dust Stickles, confetti! Liquid pearl,
Again I would have sewn my paper edges but I've still got my sore back to a bit so I've not risked it,
All for now, see you soon,
