DCD DT Card

Hi peeps,
Well Monday already, yeah one more day of the men at home then no, can you do this! can you do that! lol,
I made this card when to be honest my mojo wasn't at it's best, and I hadn't got quite back into the swing of things he he,
so for the challenge today and remember were now fortnightly it's to use a quote or definition on your card,
Do check out my teamies creations they are gorgeous!

The circles are all made using GO Kreate dies, yes I finally got the scalloped one yeah! the quote is from a book of quotes by Hot off the Press which  I've had for years, which I've distresssed with Inks, added a little grunge with a stamp, then used stickers for the wellies, pots, tags and spade, the colours are stronger in RL, but I just couldn't get them to show he he,
Challenge ~ Frosted Designs

Have you noticed our gorgeous new signatures which our lovely boss Susie has had made for us, thanks hun,
Looking forward to seeing what your quotes are, see you soon,

DCD DT Card

Hi Peeps,
Hope your all well and your getting ready for Christmas nicely,
the challenge for Die Cut Dreams is to use fairies, well some of my lovely teamies have used Fairies with a Christmas theme so for those of you still needing to make some you still can, lol
I've used a fairy image from Lily of the Valley, just love her,
Challenge:
Cutie Sunday, Colours but not Christmas

I've used a different style for this card for a change but it's a little hard to photograph lol, the image is coloured with copics, layered onto three nestie shapes using Papermania cardstock, the papers are from the Jack and Jill collection from prima,

I made this when I was full of a cold and my head felt wuzzy so it feels a little plain to what I'm doing at the moment lol, are you like me you get into something and it's hard to do plain after!
Anyway for other gorgeous inspiration go to DCD and see the gorgeous projects my team mates have made,
and of course to see the winner from last week,
We are still here next week too, so don't forget to check in on Monday for another fantastic challenge, one I'm sure you'll love!
See you soon,

Seeing triple

Hi peeps,
Gosh it's so cold here!!!!,
I hope your all ok and nice and warm, the challenge we have for you at Die cut dreams this week is for you to make three different simple cards on one theme,

Well did I have to get my head round this! as I usually don't do two the same never mind three lol,
I've used the same design base, same image but tweaked them here and there,

Gosh  you will have fun trying to take a picture of three cards together as it's not easy lol, so here's them single lol,

All my cards have this gorgeous Tilda with Fir image on, this one is coloured with copics, and the main paper and image have Ranger Crackle paiont on the edges in picket fence, as well as stickles glitter glue, the background is red chalk, I would love to use Distress inks but my card I use for copics just won't let me blend DI's on it!!!!

Same image, again coloured in copics, thought I'd do a different colour scheme this time though as my sister has just bought some orange baubles and so guess who's having this lol,
this time I've done an outline of two different coloured dots round her for dimension and I've added a layer of extra paper which I probably shouldn't have done for the challenge, to bring in the green in, the edges of my paper are  distressed and  glittered,
Challenges:
 Secret crafter ~ Christmas
Paper cutz ~ Christmas with two designer papers,
This one uses copics for the image, with the dimension dots and chalk, the sentiment stamps are all from Lily of the valley, chalked and glittered, they all use a square doily, sure I've not spelt that right lol,

I think the blue one is my favourite, have you got one let me know lol,

Well I'm off for some breakfast as I'm freezing and the heatings on, but you wouldn't believe how many times I've pressed the wrong key lol,
Hope you'll join us, have fun!

Yum Yum!

It's flippin freezing here! lol,

I know some of us brits have got snow, well we haven't yet but it was minus 6 last night at 9,0clock so who knows what it was in the night, and a  bit worrying our central heating made a loud bang when it came on this morning but at least it came on, more than it did last year lol,

Here's my DCD DT card, which this week is
Candy/Sweets

The images are coloured with Copics, cut out, then layered onto one of Susie's Die Cuts from here, the ticket is a Tim Holtz which I've just added loads of Glamour Dust too, going to have to buy more of this soon,
The lovely images were sent to me as a RAK from my lovely friend Mandy ages ago thanks hun,
Challenges:
Charisma cardz ~ One for the girls,
Fab n Funky ~ Go with the flow,
For Fun ~ Anything goes,
Paper Cutz ~ Anything goes,

My back is still not back to normal, better than it was but not gone, and I've to go and see my mum today so fingers crossed I don't slip on the icy paths!!!,
Hopefully I'll be back soon! lol

Ps hope this loads ok as it's just lost my main picture so I've had to re-enter it!!
is MR Blogger cold too! lol,

Christmas tree's here!

You know how I said I'd be back with some more cards, fatal to say things like that isn't it, I've got Lumbago and so my crafting has stopped for the time being as I've a job to move, can just about sit here to do this, it usually goes on for  about four days or so well I' hope it's no longer anyway,

Luckily I'd already made my project for this weeks Die Cut dreams challenge which is anything but a card,
and the lucky winner will win a Guest DT spot for challenge #78, which is on the week of the 13th December,

I've made this which can be put on the table at Christmas for decoration and later moved to somewhere else if needed,
I used a tin lid I had, which I drew round on some paper, cut out, distressed the edges and stuck on the top, ribbon is run around the sides for the hint of red colour to match Tilda and the paper,
The scene is coloured using Distress inks as are the Christmas trees, but these I have cut out , the front single tree is cut out also but I've also cut every layer then raised the cut parts with Pin Flair glue after slightly shaping the branches,

Tilda is coloured with Copics, and the same Liquid Applique is added to the tree, all the images have tags at the back to allow the images to stand upright, and I have added these at angles to create the 3D effect,

Challenges:
All That scraps~ Magnolia Blog,
Bunny Zoes ~ Christmas but not a card,
Magnolia-licious Highlites ~ Home Sweet Home,
DCD Christmas~ Anything Goes,
Ellephantastic~ Christmas themed card or project,
Winter Wonderland~ Make a Decoration,
Stamptacular Sunday~ A time for Giving (No Cards) I may give it to my mum or my daughter,

I've still got those commissioned cards to make too, so I hope this Lumbago goes soon lol,

Come and join us at Die Cut Dreams, look forward to seeing you soon,

Lady in Red

Hi peeps,
How's your weekend been? I've been excited as I won first on MDU, what an honour I feel like I've won the lottery, does that make me sad, no don't answer that lol,

My card today is for our lovely Die Cut Dreams challenge and it's to use staples on your work, it's good fun thinking of the ways to use these things and I know you will have fun,

This lovely girl is a Lily of the valley image, isn't she adorable which I've coloured in Copics and her fur muff is Glamour Dust, I cut her out her ringlets were a bit tricky I can tell you lol, and using Pin Flair gel raised her up a little,
as you can see I've sewn my card and the staples are added too,
I bought a gold dauber but I'm disappointed as it quite dull  and doesn't show like I thought it would (it's on the flowers)
Challenges:
Totally Gorjuss ~ Traditional Christmas colours,
Cute card Thursday ~ Anything Goes,
Lily of the Valley ~ Anything goes,

The rest of the recipe are, Magnolia Doo Hickey swirl, Raffia ribbon from Hobbycraft~ I went for some more of this and they've stopped selling it,
Magnolia Ticket stamp, Marianne design flower punch, Woodware Staples, Gold gems~ stash,
sorry not sure who's the paper is maybe Bo Bunny !
Pop over to DCD and see what my lovely team buddies have made too, then get those staples flowing lol,

With a Heart

Hi, well my computer has let me onto the web this morning thank goodness, it' so annoying as I just never know when it's playing ball or not he he,
The challenge this week at DCD is for a project to feature a heart but with no colouring in, and it isn't easy I can tell you as you just want to rush for your copics or whatever lol, the card I've made I used to make quite a lot and when I worked they used to sell quite well, they look great made up with the colours of the Anniversary say red for Ruby but for this challenge I didn't have any, the heart is cut with a scalloped Nestie has acetate layered behind and  a bit of glitter round the edge,
My background card stock looks darker than it is in RL so it doesn't look as harsh, pearls are from stash, the bow is from a Christmas card last year that I saved, others are just peel offs,
Yeah just had a knock at the door my hubs come, lets hope this one works he he,
Have a lovely day,

Colour Combo

Hi Peeps,

Thanks for your lovely entries last week and for putting up with our tiny hiccup we had over at Die Cut Dreams, the challenge this week is for a colour combo of
Orange and HOT pink,
I must confess I didn't have a lot of stuff for this challenge and with my eyes still playing up, yes I've still not got my glasses, so I'm still doing little bits then resting them, I made this bookmark thingy lol

I used copics for the colouring, papermania cardstrock, papers were a freebie from a craft mag yonks ago, the flower is from my stash from yonks ago too, the centre is actually a coloured pin which I pushed in between the paper layers and it's finished off with a charm on some hot pink ribbon,
The bottom edge is a Tim Holtz edge die,
I'm looking forward to seeing your creations  in our challenge, have fun,

Just a quick post

Hi,
This is a card I made a little while ago for DCD where the challenge this time is for Get Well, I did a side stepper card for a change and used one of my favourite Tildas lol,
I'm also letting you know that our Susie has no internet connection at all at the moment so she will update the challenge etc as soon as she can, is there something going round?

I've masked Tilda onto the honey jar then coloured them with Copics, the jar has a layer of diamond glaze to mimic glass but of course you can't see that lol,
The papers are from Pink Petticoat and were a freebie on her site, the Bees on the acetate strips are from a Penny Black clear stamp set, a bit of Glamour Dust, Stickles, and computer generated sentiment and it's all done lol,

My E-mails playing up again today it comes up saying gateway appears to be blocked or some such, it's a pain yesterday it seemed to work ok when I tried it, but with my eyes I haven't the time to faff, as it's taking me days to make one thing he he,
I will try to get on later and get round to you, but no promises lol xx

Teddy Bears Birthday

Hi Peeps,
You will have to bear with me lol, as my head still isn't a hundred percent right and I'm having all sorts of problems loading this lol,
I've just written it all out, finally managed to sort out the problem of the new picture system that Mr Blogger's messed with again and went to link a site and now I can't find the original any where so this is my second attempt and isn't helping my head at all, GRRRR, I keep hitting the wrong keys and all sorts lol,

I don't get a thing any more to change the size of the image and it looks darn small to me, so I may be back on Live writer at this rate, I do wish they would leave what works alone!!
Listen to me, talk about a bear with a sore head lol,
This card is for Die Cut Dreams challenge this time and our lovely Susie is giving the winner 30 mixed Die Cut Teddy Bears as the prize, wow awesome or what?
My lovely shaped card is a Die Cut from our lovely Susie available here and my image is from the lovely talented DI available here and I've coloured her with Copics, cut her out mounted her on foam pads added some flowers from Hobbycraft and a market stall, glass beads Magnolia,
I've not had chance to find any challenges with my Migraine but hope you like it,

DCD Challenge,

Hi Peeps,
Well what fun I had with the challenge this week lol,
The challenge is to use vellum any way you want,

I must confess I made some thing completely different and didn't like it so dismantled it and made some thing else lol,
the image is stamped with a  white stamp pad, then I embossed the design on the back to raise the image on the front using a ball tool, I added hints of glitter which made the vellum bubble hence my disaster that finished up being dismantled so a word of warning here don't use glitter on vellum lol,
I stuck the vellum to a piece of pink card then added that to a Spellbinders Nestabiliies frame, the gorgeous fairy is a Lily of the Valley stamp which has been coloured with copics, the butterflies were a frebbie from ages ago, pearls from stash,
the frame has a peg behind to make it stand up

This is the original complete with bubbles and all lol, just to show you what not to do he he,

Well hope your having a lovely day where ever you are, it's very dull and damp here, Autumn is certainly calling lol,
Have fun,

Tag it

Hi peeps, gosh we are having some gorgeous beautiful warm weather here with  NO RAIN lol, so I've been out and about enjoying it I can tell you, I can't believe how much better you can feel with a bit of sun and warmth,
Anyway I'd better get on hadn't I lol, the theme over at DCD is to tag it, which means to use a tag on your work but with NO stamping at all, well it was a struggle for me because I didn't really have much in the way of tags and I kept wanting to stamp lol, so I finally came up with this,
Challenges A Clearly Delightful Challenge~ Tag it
Now some of my teamies have done some awesome tags you should go over to take a look and you will see also that some have just made tags which is also ok,
I put my tag on a card, I used Papermania paper from the Summer Bloom collection and as you can see it looked to have gold mesh in the paper so I used gold Magic  mesh on my tag to bring it all in, I coloured the tag background with Distress inks and the other elements were from a Papermania die cut sheet,
I hope you will join us in this lovely challenge, can't wait to see what you come up with,
Hugs Liz xx

To A Wonderful Friend

Hi peeps, have we got a good challenge for you this week over at DCD are you ready lol, it's to use FABRIC on your projects but not just ribbon or trim, I must admit it got me thinking this one but I finally came up with this and I quite like it, check out the other girls work too  they are awesome,
I cut out the image on the fabric carefully, not easy I can tell you lol, and then used my Xyron create.a.sticker to add flat adhesive to the back then put it in place, edged with the usual stickles well I couldn't be different this time could I, the papers are machine sewed and edged with Distress inks too,
I also edged my flowers with a Adirondak acrylic paint dauber in cranberry, that went perfectly with the colours,
Magnolia glass beads string, Martha Stewart frond  punch, spellbinders fancy tag die, Stampavie sentiment stamp and that's it lol,
Colouring, Copics'
I've been quite busy this weekend so I'll have to check back later for any challenges, and I'm at the hospital with my mum this afternoon, phew it's all go here lol,
Hope to see you there soon, can't wait to see what you come up with, hugs Liz xx
