My Lovely Friends,

Tuesday 20 July 2010

Summer Wedding,

Hi peeps, well what lovely weather were having I must say lol, rain, rain, and more rain and we have a hosepipe ban on because it didn’t do enough rain in winter, no because it’s letting us have  it all now lol, we managed to get a couple of hours lovely walk at Formby Point yesterday it’s only about  three quarter of an hours journey from where we live but we’d never been before, it’s lovely you go through this wood with  all little walks of various lengths where there are some of the last red squirrels left in the country only they apparently have disappeared somewhere and you had to inform a ranger if you saw one lol, any way when you’d gone through these woods you came out on to the beach, amazing so surreal, from a wood to the beach in half a dozen steps lol, we will certainly be going back again but definitely  not today as yes it’s raining again lol,

Well on to my DT card for Creative Craft, the challenge is called Here comes the bride and I have used Magnolia images for the bride and groom, I think I went overboard on the flowers though  lol,

Challenges, Wild Orchid Crafts~ open,    Timbroscrapmania~Love is,    Magnolia Down Under~ Season Themed,   Crafty Angels~Shabby Chic,   Die Cut Dreams~ Acetate,   Fussy and Fancy~ Stitching, scallops and sparkle, her dress is scalloped edged and she has glamour dust in her veil lol, Charisma cards~ Pink,    Hanna and Friends~ Celebrating, Miami doodles~ Anything goes,

P1010972The images are behind Acetate  which raised on foam pads  as I wanted to create a wedding photo effect has it worked? the “frame” is made using a spellbinders frameability which I’ve added some colour to and also used metallic rub on’s for an aged look, I coloured this image up a while ago when I thought I’d practise using a black copic pen as they are not the easiest thing to use lol,

The paper is Basic Grey and I’ve distressed it then sewn it using my sewing machine, the flowers are from Hobbycraft and a local craft shop, I have finally got round to ordering some flowers off Wild Orchid Crafts but they haven’t come yet, leaves are a  L-EM punch, glass beads are Magnolia and the pearl string was a local buy too,  a bit of liquid pearl and glamour dust tops it off  lol,

Well off now for a paddle in the rain, have  fun,

Butterfly 2 Signature LM

Such a beautifully done card, Liz! I love the flowers, and your coloring on Edwin's suit is really beautiful. Your acetate give a nice effect--what a great idea! Glad you had a nice walk yesterday--sounds beautiful. Funny how we forget to go to the cool places around us that everyone else travels miles to see. We have some places like there here in Arkansas that we plan to visit, just not when it is so hot! Thanks for joining Fussy and Fancy, and I hope to see you back again next time! Lisa :-)
