It's Magnolia Only at The Ribbon Girl

Hi guys, I've gone onto the magnolia only challenge over at
whoo hoo, now you know i love my maggies so here is my first make for the challenges,
the theme is
Things that hang, so that can be anything that hangs, ie: a tag for a gift, or bottle or something that hangs off a card or other,
we are being sponsored by Magnolia with a stamp all the way from Sweden and a £10.00 gift voucher from The Ribbon Girl
here's mine

I've used lots of delicious yummy goodies from The Ribbon Girl,

The image is Sakura collection - Golden week tilda and she is coloured with my copics, I used a Noor leaf die onto which I added a hint of crackle paint,

The tag shape is made using a Dutch Doobadoo stencil, with a Noor design border die on one side, and I also used a hint of  D/A chipboard too,

Timeless Art

Hi guys, I felt in the mood for using stamps, paints, gesso, and stenciling, though to be fair you can't see much of that, but anyway if made me happy, lol

Again I've used lots of The Ribbon Girl lushness on it too,
I cut out a tag shape with watercolour paper, stamped a script with versamark then added white embossing powder over the top, coloured it with distress inks the added crackle paint in white here and there, I then rubbed the excess paint off the script, I used a stencil with grunge paste to add interest and texture, it is there honest!!!!
I cut some ribbon type stuff  down I've had in my stash ages and glued it on the tag lenghways trimming off the edges, when dry I added some strips of torn corrugated card stock,
I added some DD soft board bricks to add another bit of texture and interst, then sprayed them with some colour bloom sprays,

I then added a mini bookplate from  Tando Creative, wow love these, I painted it with gesso first then when dry added two colours of bloom sprays and an acetate word from my stash behind, I used TRG pearl brads to finish it off,
The leaf die is by Noor and I added crackle paint here and there too,

GDT at Country View Crafts

Hi guys, I'm so honoured to have been asked by the lovely Chris  to be GDT for Country View crafts this month, the theme chosen by the lovely Astrid  is
"Shabby Chic"
As you may know it's one of my favourite things to do!!
I made it with my Sister and Brother - in - laws wedding Anniversary in mind and thankfully she loved it,

I made my card base  17.9 x 12.7, then cut my designer papers 17.5 x 12.3 then 16.5 x 11.9 all distessed on the edges using my distress tool and edged with vintage photo distress ink, I used the wet paper technique to make the pleat effect at the top of the designer paper to show the lace edge behind, the rest of the DP has top stitching on,
I took some torn card board and added white gesso here and there and layered this on top of a doily and bits of cheese cloth for depth, texture and interest,
I then made my layers with a metal Birdcage, twine, flowers, Prima Junkyard zipper, bark heart, acetate butterflies with Tim Holtz alterations pen nibs on top of them covered with Gesso for their bodies,

I also used a organza rose lace, Bark Heart and pearl trim to add the final detail too,

The flowers are from Sweet Lilac and have been given the Gesso treatment too,

Closer view showing the hints of white Gesso,

Full view again,

Anything goes at PTW

Hi guys, yes it's time for our weekly challenge at
Paper Take Weekly
and the theme this time is
Anything goes as long as it's pretty,

hmmm not sure I do pretty! so here is my attempt!!

I used these fabulous suitcases from Fernli designs, the bottom two have hinges on the back so they can open, but I fixed the top one together so it would stand up on the top of the other one, I have used some of their gorgeous flourishes too,
I cut the papers to size then distressed the edges with my distress tool,
The gorgeous papers are from Scrap and Craft from the Heart painted pack, I wanted a little more colour so I added a little blue to the papers with Prima colour bloom sprays,

Of course it's hard to photograph again lol, but this is the top view, I coloured the flourishes with some Inka Gold waxes and then added a very light coating of gesso over the top here and there too,

The cases are finished off with flowers from Sweet Lilac, cheesecloth and a pearl string,

Challenges
Fussy and Fancy - Distressed or use Aurora Wings image

Happy Crafting!!
Hugs Liz xx
