Fright Night - Guest DT for Decoupage Queen

Hi guys, I'm back with another halloween themed project, this time as guest dt for

Decoupage Queen,

I used some of their awesome Rice Papers and 12" x 12" scrapbooking papers from the Halloween collection, they are really good quality and I loved working with them,

The front of my Z fold album is created with one of the Rice papers, I have a video on my youtube channel on how I made this album which I will list below,

I created a spooky scene with some chipboard, cogs, chain and a skull from my stash, which I had previously sprayed to match in with the colours of the Rice Paper,

The first inside page has a bottom pocket to be able to take a removable tag, this is made using one of the scrapbook papers, I adhered it onto a piece of black cardstock, this can then have a photo or some writing placed on it if wanted,

The next page has one of the fabulous papers, but this time I added a piece of card on which I have stamped a halloween themed scene, then I added some slots in the corners for Photos to be added,

Another of the pages has again one of the fabulous papers on, then I created a three sectioned booklet which again opens out, but this time has some more of the fantastic paper images on,

The last page of the Z fold section has a side pocket,

I placed this on the left hand side so you could see the Raven on the paper,

I again created a removable tag, which can also be written on the reverse if wanted,

This stunning paper forms the inside cover section of the base part of my Z fold Album,

As underneath the cover I just showed you, is another scene created with another of the Rice papers but this time added inside a box I created to go inside the  finished Album, I then created a small book to go inside the box with more of the papers, a couple of Toadstools, a plastic spider and a glass bottle with some plastic bones, Moss and a Spider web cut from a die, all from my stash,

I have really enjoyed creating this Halloween themed Album and hope I may have inspired you to have a go yourself,

Here is the link to my Video, it's quite detailed so perhaps have a brew with you, lol

BOO!!!

Hi all, I just couldn't resist this awesome MDF coffin with Handles that is available online from

Calico Craft Parts, it comes with a removable lid which is fabulous for holding sweets etc too,

I chose to place the lid horizontally to the coffin so I could have a plastic skeleton from my stash popping out,

I added some texture on the sides of the coffin with some texture paste and a stencil, then when dry I gave a thick layer of heavy black Gesso, when dry again I went over in places with some silver wax,

Meanwhile I took some bones and gave them a light coating of white Gesso, then adhered them here and there on the coffin sides,

On the lid I used another stencil with some silver texture paste, then when dry I went over the edges with some more of the wax, I glued a skull and crossbones to the lid to finish it off,

I added one of the spiders as if it's crawling around the box, with a small bat on a piece of acetate to appear as though flying,

I love making Halloween projects and hope you may have a try too,

Welcome, All Ye Who Enter Here

I always make projects for Halloween which as you know isn't overly a thing we British do, but I do it for fun and usually they end up with my Granddaughter who loves to dress up and do trick or treat!!

In my stash from Calico Craft Parts I had one of the plywood mobile phone bases, and I had an idea (out of the box as they say!!) to use it to set a scene for Halloween, they are really fab for holding phones too, lol

So first of all I gave the phone stand a coating with some sprays by Lindys Gang  keeping in with the Halloween theme, using Glitz Spritz in steel shimmer and brushed Nickel

I then took one of the Pannelled doors which has fabulous detail on it, I didn't want to lose this detail so again I used the same sprays as for the holder plus a little of the Magicals shaker in Forest Black, this I painted on over the top, and the result was fab, they gave colour and a little shimmer, sorry though you can't see that too well on the picture, but it shows all the details,

I then  adhered the door to the phone holder,

I then used one of the floral flourishes on the top of my Halloween scene to add interest too, again using sprays to colour,  Magical shaker Oktoberfest Orange, Hibiscus Rose and Lederhosen Green,

I then added Halloween themed bits and pieces from my stash,

I used some of the Black Forest magical shaker on the cheescloth to give the impression of a cobweb,

The die cut leaves have the Ocktoberfest orange and Hibiscus Rose shakers on them and the airdry clay pumpins which I had previously made have Flat Fabio -Tears on my Pillow Tangerine sprayed on them,

These doors look fabulous for shabby chic/pretty projects too, but I think it looks awesome for Halloween just round the corner too,

Well I hope that's given you a little inspiration for how to use the products and just maybe a little differently too,
