Hi guys, Happy New year to you all,
It feels like ages since I've done a blog post, but I've created a Birthday card for my Son and thought I'd show you,
I usually have bought some stuff to make his cards from the local craft shop but seeing as we are in lockdown that wasn't possible, so I went in the search of my stash!!
He's a total fishing nut so I had some things to make one,!!! lol
I'm loving using stencils to make scenes with too at the minute so I had this bullrushes stencil in my stock, had it forever and sorry don't know who's make it is, anyway I used a fine coating of white Gesso through it to give a muted look, when dry I went over the back of the card with distress inks in Speckled Egg and Broken China and Antique Linen,
The stamps were by Inkilicious Bullrush 2 which I stamped in Rich Cocoa memento ink, then I used Gone Fishing Stamps in Versafine Clair - Nocturne for the fisherman and stone effect,
The fish I stamped Archival ink - Watering Can so it appeared lighter to appear fighting in the water, hence why it's upside down and I just drew the line to look that way too,
Happy Crafting!!
