Christmas Is Coming

Hi guys, well it's nearly December so I've been making some Christmas cards, well as you know I made a few mens cards and so for a change I did one where I could add a little bling etc,
over at Lemoncraft they have a red  colour themed challenge going on, I found some scraps in my stash, as I had just finished making one with the reverse side of it, but that's for another day!! lol

Anyway here it is,

I'm really into narrow cards this year so I did another one, I used the same red paper for both layers simply layering up the inner one with 3D foam, as usual I distressed the paper edges, these paper distress fabulously!!

I took a plastic snowflake from my stash and glued it down first using hot glue, then I added a handmade clock embellishment which I made out of air dry clay and a mould by Prima, when dry I added some gold wax over the top,
I die cut a label die out of two layers of card stock and one out of the reverse of the paper, after gluing these together I added a small piece of the red sided paper behind, finally I added some twine through the hole,
My next layer is a calico star I've had in my stash for years, then I added a air dry bird,

My Poinsettia is made out of the Lady E Design Poinsettia die using white silk foam and the centre stamens from the same die set were made die cut out of Kraft card, I added a pearl style embellishment for the middle,

Behind the flower I used some cut down frosted berries and some 13 Arts  pieces too, then I simply added some Prima art stones and self adhesive gem stones here and there too,

Well that's another one done, just to make the boxes for them now!!! lol

A Mans card with Gift Envelope number three

Hi guys, I know you've seen my other Mens cards with similar designs but I decided this year for the first time to do a similar set of cards, as I usually make every one different,

so this one is again made using similar products,

I've used the same template as before by the very talented and friend Irene for the design of my card envelope but I used it the other way,

Again I cut the papers in different sizes and distressed the edges, layering some up with 3D foam to give a little depth and interest,

I've again used a die cut star, dried piece of orange, chipboard and the fabulous doodled circle die by Gummiapan from Swedish House Crafts, I find this die very useful especially for Mens cards,

I then found a paper straw in my stash that matched in with the papers so I used that too, lol
To finish off the front I again used dried roots by 13 Arts,

To keep in with the theme I also again used a deer die which I cut out the Deer in Kraft Card,

Inside has again the slits cut on the top paper so I can add some money and the box at the base for some chocolate,

I hope your not bored with seeing my Mens cards,I've  nearly finished showing you, I've only one more of this themed card to go which I will show you all later, lol oh I bet you can't wait!!! he he

Adding wires to Foamiran Leaves

Hi all, I have been asked by a few of you how you add the wires to your foamiran  Leaves, there are quite a few ways but I thought I'd show you the easiest ways to get you started,

I've again used the fabulous leaf dies by
Lady E Designs Leaves 001 and 003

I will add a video for you to watch as well,

One way is to simply take a leaf shape and glue the wire behind your leaf using hot glue added to the end of wire, if it's lying flat on your project it doesn't need to be bent or shaped,

You can also add your leaves by gluing the wire behind as above but gluing half way down the leaf back, then when the glue has dried you can bend the wire over slightly to give the leaf a little direction,

Another way is to add tiny amounts of the wire along the leaf backs if the leaf your using has more then one leaf, ie two or three leaves on one die, if the stem of the die is wide enough you can also add the wire behind this too,

You can also add some wire to the front of your leaf, then simply bring the two lower edges together which hides the wire from view,

These are the simplest ways to add the wires to your leaves, you can add floral tape around the wires if you wish before or after adding the leaves or not at all, especially if they won't be seen behind the  finished flower display,

Hope this helps if your just starting out,

Vintage Baby Girl Exploding Box

Hi, guess what, I'm here today showing you another creation I've made using the gorgeous Vintage baby collection by Laserowe Love for
Swedish House Crafts,

I couldn't resist making a vintage style exploding box, for the lid I added some cut some paper, then added a fussy cut image from one of the papers raised up with 3D foam, then below this a strip off another sheet of the papers which I raised up slightly higher,

As you can see on the lid sides I used another of the lovely papers to tie in the image on the paper below,

Inside I used more o the papers and some of the fabulous chip boards,

I fussy cut the images again raising them up with 3D foam, I then added some hand drawn lines for the balloon strings, I so love the cute chipboard teddy!!! which I left in it's natural state,

After fussy cutting the banner I again raised it up with the 3D foam, I also fussy cut the rocking horse which I glued onto the base leaving it flat, but then raised up the gorgeous vintage styled teddy bear, I also love this image!!!

On the other side I raised up another vintage bear image and placed a chipboard rattle left again in it's natural state,

The rear of the box has this vintage pram cut out from one of the sheets, look how they all mix and match perfectly!!

In the middle section I used one of the Roxstamps nesting circle dies to cut out a circle giving the appearance of a vintage rug, then I added the 3D cradle,
In the front I glued more adorable teddies,

After making up the 3D cradle I added some paper flowers, cheesecloth as a mock blanket and a tiny doll cut from one of the papers too, this I then glued in the corner of the cot,

Another one for the Men

hi, if you saw my other post about the Mens cards I need to make you will see I have kept to a similar theme but still they are different,
I have made this for a man who's 17, hmm man or boy? anyway grown up!!! (debatable) Lol
So this time I have made him a gift envelope card with a tiny twist, well more on that in a minute!!!

I've seen they have a fabulous mood board over at 13Arts and I thought hey why not have a go!! I mean you have to try right?
So I've distressed and layered up the papers from the Vintage Summer collection, yep the summer collection for Christmas yeah!!! love it when you can use them for more then one thing, he he
Behind the first base layer I added a piece of seam binding,

I die cut a star shape from one of the papers, coloured the edge with vintage photo distress ink then distressed the edges with a distress tool you can use scissors too, under the star is a craft wire which I have made into a circle twice then I secured it to the card with hot glue, peeking out over the top of this and under the star is some 13Arts dried roots, love this stuff!!!
I then glued a sliced dried piece of orange and layered a die cut Deer over the top,

As you can see I also added a piece of cinnamon behind the star, and I gave the kraft wire a bit of added interest by wrapping it around itself a few times, I think it gives it a kinda rope effect, then behind this is a metal star which is from my stash, and some twine wrapped around the papers too,

Inside I made a box section for a chocolate bar etc, after all what 17 year old doesn't love chocolate?
( Template from my lovely friend Irene, thanks hun,)

So for the twist!!

Now you may also have noticed the money!!, well he couldn't just have chocolate could he?!! so on the piece of 13Arts paper before I fixed it down I cut a couple of slices near the edges of where the note would go so that it held the money in place,

When the money is removed (probably very quickly) lol there is room to have your written message,

"like don't spend it all on chocolate he he" or more likely a Christmas verse, if I'm not feeling naughty!!! hmm which will it be?  I wonder if Santas's listening!!! Lol

On the top of the box, I simply added a die cut stags head, well do you think he'll look past the money and the chocolate? I don't think so lol

As you can see this is where the seam binding is also attached for the envelope to be closed together,

So here is the second of many cards for the men in my life, not a flower in sight!!! sob Lol

One for the Men

Hi guys, i have quite a few men in my immediate family and so I have quite a few mens Christmas cards or gift envelopes to make,

I don't really do CAS as you know so I rack my brains what I can do, this year I have made a few similar ones but still slightly different,
I made a card base using Kraft card stock then layered up some First Edition - All that Glistens papers,

I distressed my paper edges and raised some of them up with 3D foam or waste chipboard to create height and interest,

I also used a die cut to cut out a star, the gummiapan doodled circle die from Swedish house crafts is peeking out from behind as well,
I added this fabulous metal embellishment which tied in with the papers and theme too,

This IO adorable deer cut from a set of deer dies out of Kraft card stock was hot glued onto the top of a piece of dried orange which again gives depth, I then used a cinnamon stick and star anise to give interest too,
Under these I tied a bow using some black twine, then a couple of berries,To finish off the card I used some chipboard by Scrapiniec, love how this gives some hints of added interest too,

I will show you another of my mens cards soon,

Happy Christmas

Hi guys, I'm sure you've already seen the gorgeous paper collection Arctic Sweeties by Laserowe Love, well I have made a few projects with them so for this card I used up some of the scrap pieces I had left,

The beautiful papers all tone together fabulously as well they distress on the paper edges too which as you know is what I like to do,

I cut down one of the Laser owe Love chipboards, just using the largest snowflake, onto which I simply added some glitter,
I then used the rest of the chipboard set along the edge of the papers on the left, again just adding some glitter to them,
I added my handmade flower out of silk foam which Suha will have in her shop soon and then used some mixed berries too,

I made another handmade flower for on the base and again used the berries, at the bottom of the fabulous image from the papers I added some more glitter and some fussy cut parcels which again are part of the collection,
Check out these fabulous products and all the other fabulous products over at

Another Christmas Card

Yes I've done another card on my list, this time I've used the gorgeous paper collection Blue land by Stamperi,

As you know I love shabby chic so it's in that style,

I distressed the paper edges with some vintage photo distress ink then used a distress tool on the edges too,

I added a plastic snowflake behind some of my layers of paper then some of the tag shapes fussy cut out from the paper set,

I also used some chipboard pieces by Scrapiniec,

I cut the frame out and raised it up with 3D foam so the image of the house peeks through, this card is going to our neighbours so I thought it was apt, lol

I finished it off with some of handmade Foamiran flowers, made using white 0.6 Foamiran and the 001 die by Lady E Designs for the larger flower and 004 die for the smaller ones, these are coloured with oil pastels, I added some silver glitter paint by 13 Arts on the edges of the flowers, I also made some laves using the Tiny Leaves die this time out of paper simply adding some of the 13 Arts Glitter paint on there too, Then I added some dried roots again by 13 Arts here and there too,

Oh well one down a few to go ,lol

Arctic Sweeties / Liz

Hi guys, I'm here today for Swedish House Crafts.
Well the weather has certainly turned cold enough for snow and I know some places have already had a touch of it, so in time for Christmas and in keeping with the weather Suha has got some adorable paper ranges in by Laserowe Love, this one is called Arctic Sweeties and they are so cute!!!

I created an exploding box and used the fabulous papers for both the outsides and insides, they all go together perfectly as do the images in the collection too, but more on that in a minute!!! lol
I added a gorgeous chipboard again by laser owe Love on the lid, simply adding some stickles glue here and there, as well as some handmade flowers in silk foam which is coming into store at Swedish House Crafts soon, along with some mixed berries that's in the store too,

On the box front I used this fabulous die by Gummiapan, I just love the swirly script!!!

So inside are the really cute images I mentioned,  I mean how adorable!!!

I used some more of the papers first, then I fussy cut some of the adorable images out using 3D foam behind to raise some of them up a little,

Here I fussy cut out the bear, balloons and the flags, hand drawing some strings for the balloons and a little glitter to finish it off,

Here after cutting out the images I again drew a string for the balloon and then raised the balloon up with some 3D foam, the gorgeous chipboard snowflake is again by laser owe love and I added some glitter over the top,

Here the bear is raised again with the foam pads, I left the cut out parcels flat to look like they are slightly behind and in front of him, I then used some more of the flags finishing them off with hints of glitter,

I made a pocket for some of the gorgeous tags which I simply cut out then added a little twine on the top, the top of the pocket has some more flags, parcels and a really cute penquin having fun!!!

These are fab for pressies too,

The centre piece is created using another fabulous chipboard again I simply added some glitter, I used a piece of clear acetate behind to make it stand up then I glued this onto some cheesecloth,
Again I used some more mixed berries and my handmade silk foam flower,

Vintage Baby

Hi guys, I thought I'd show you a paper mache decoration I have altered to make a vintage styled creation,

I've used some of the  laserowe Love Vintage baby papers for the base and background inner sections, then I simply fussy cut some of the fantastic images which I raised on the back with 3D foam,

The Balloons were fussy cut round then I simply fixed them in place then drew lines so they look like these adorable bears again from laser owe Love are holding them, I decided to leave the chipboards in their natural state just simply adding a self adhesive pearl effect embellishment on the bow ties,

Behind in the section you can see the papers and the fussy cut images which like I said are raised with 3D foam,

I wanted a little added interest on the frame section so I added some more fussy cut images here and there,

I did the middle section in the same way,

How cute is this bear?

On the front I added another of the chip board pieces then another fussy cut image placed slightly to one side on the front,

I finished it off with some more self adhesive effect pearls and I added one in the centre of this fussy cut image to which tied it all in,

then I simply added a few flowers displays to give added interest,
