Hi guys, It's my sons 31st Birthday today and he loves Fishing!!!!!!!!
now what card do you make for a man who's been into fish since has was five!!!
yep fishing!!!!
but I do run out of ideas, anyway the other day I went on my lovely blogging friend Vicky's blog ( who's cards are awesome) and she had another awesome card on with this fabby SC digi image called Fishy and I just knew I had to have one for his card lol,
I'd run out of my favourite copic card stock so the darn things have bled slightly and wouldn't go back so don't look to closely he he, the shop was shut and his Birthday was in a few days time so it had to be!!
It's been one of those times as when I was doing the sky with some fairly dry copics which would have been better wetter the phone rang TWICE!!! I mean what!!! you do know they set fast and you need at least a little ink in the pen to re ink them lol, so hence the reason why his sky is a little weird, well that's my excuse and I'm sticking too it lol,
so so so! want my favourite card stock again, where I can blend and add colour with out it bleeding and not going back!

I used to go fishing when I was pregnant with him so I've only myself to blame for him having the bug, well that and his dad loves it too, I didn't look like this gorgeous image though he he, though I did once go fishing on a local pond with hubby, again pregnant and there was a group of teenage lads there when we arrived, I got fishing and caught and caught and caught, the lads packed up after saying
hell she's only just got here, caught loads, she's pregnant and we have caught "nowt" , that's nothing in our part of the world, lol
Don't fish now though, would much rather craft !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
right after all my rambling back to the card,
I used some gorgeous papers by Glitz Vintage blue from My Crafty Heart, (currently on sale) wow they are gorgeous! I kept her top and fishing rod handle in those colours too tie in with them,
the sentiment was cut out of Tim Holtz idea-ology kraft glassine using a spellbinders ribbon banners die then layered onto card stock for added strength as I wanted it too stand up from the card a little,
I added some hemp fabric I got in a sale at a local shop a few weeks back, knew it would come in for something lol,
the charm is from stash as are the letter cubes,
Divine Bakers twine is from the pretty little ribbon shop
well think that's it, got Tegan today so will catch up with you guys later,
have fun! Happy Crafting
Hugs Liz xx

ah Liz, I smile every time I see this image, when I entered the competition to have it drawn, I never dreamed it would be a winner and then on top to see it being used by others brings a smile to my face each time, love how you have added all the more manly embellishments and great colouring on the sky, love it

Martina
