Lazy hazy days of summer

Hi guys I'm back lol,
We went out this week and on our trip I saw this florists window with a birdcage in, it looked so lovely I thought mmm great idea for a card lol,
so when we got back I put this together,
The base, angle iron and birdcage are all sprayed with perfect pearls copper mist for a lovely gorgeous shimmer which in the right light looks lovely,

the butterflies are from a fabric type material I once got from a craft show, so I cut out the butterflies and they have such a lovely glittery effect on them too,
which of course on here isn't showing to much, typical lol,
My papers are from Basic Grey and are from  the porcelain pad which they have stopped doing and I so love these papers too,
the vellum has writing on it that shimmers too,
Tilda lying down, is coloured with copics and has glamour dust on her top, laces, and hair bands,

The  flowers were again from a craft show and catch the light beautifully,

recipe
Magnolia ~ Tilda, Doo Hickey Swirl, leaves, heart swirl
Sissix die
Marrianne birdcage die,
pearls,
copics, Perfect pearls mist
sewing machine
Martha Stewart punch around the page
challenges~

Hi guys, I tried to upload on my blog this morning and the darn thing said error and wouldn't bring up any pictures, so I went out!! lol,
have you all been on tender hooks waiting for my master piece lol, well hard cheese because it's rubbish!!! I had hardly any time with one thing and another so this is it!
Oh gosh it's worked! uploaded and everything!!! lol
this is for the paper play challenge which as you probably already know is anything but a card,
this fabby little chap is coloured with copics, and the stars are a magnolia stamp,

I made a boo boo and had a creation made for colour create , only I did the wrong challenge and with Jim being off hadn't time to do another so you will just have to imagine a gorgeous creation here too lol!!!

do you think I'll be sacked!!
hope not and I have written to Sharon and told her and she was lovely about it so I think I'm ok lol,

if I have time I will be back with another creation soon,
well that's if Mr Blogger is playing nicely lol

2nd post of today lol

Hi guys,  the sun is shining here and it's lovely and warm but there is cloud, so no sitting out as they are quite dark looking clouds and they do cover the sun too, oh well, good excuse to sit in the craft room,

As I said Jims off this week, and my mojo had gone walk about but today I found it again and have made this card lol,
I've followed the sketch from Simon says stamp and Magnolia down under want stitching and swirls, well I usually machine stitch my cards and I love my swirls so no problem lol,
I've masked Tilda and the window,
my images are coloured with copics, and the front one has been cut out and fixed on with sticky dots,
Isn't she cute!
The backing paper is from the latest Jack n Jill collection and has bits of red on so I've picked that out with Tildas dress,
the little plant pot is from my stash that I've had for years!

Challenges

Simon Says Stamp ~ gorgeous sketch
 MDU~ stitching and swirls
Timbroscrapmania ~ in the garden
see you soon,

Tilda and Edwins wedding party

Hi guys,
the challenge over at Addicted to Stamps is
wedding,
well I was still in my cutting out mode then to be honest my mojo has vanished these last few days, dreaming of sitting out in the gorgeous weather, which is supposed to be here today but doesn't look like it up to now!

the sun peeked out for about two minutes before Yeah !!!! where's my shorts!!! no doubt collecting dust till next year lol,
sorry back to the challenge lol,
Were do I start lol,
the main base is two side easel cards joined together, and both the backs have been cut away again for the frames, I did have the bride and groom under the rose arch in my head but in practise they looked wrong, do you ever do that?
all the images are coloured with copics then cut out and stood up with tags,
This frame is machine sewn then I added a lattice frame on top with my Martha Stewart punch, I used some gorgeous rose ribbon for the flowers,

you will have to excuse my cutting on some of these as my knife started going blunt ( over worked ) lol and so I couldn't get them as finished off as I liked,
all the images have glossy accents on their shoes,
I've tried to make the flower girls like twins or at least sisters lol,

Tilda and Edwins guests are having a good day enjoying the fun and can you spot the going away car at the back, which has a Just married banner behind it, but was very difficult to photograph so I haven't got any clearer shots lol, you may just be able to see the glossy accents on the windscreen though  too,
the frame has  4 flower effects across which again have been coloured with copics as has the lamp stand, I pre fare to cut my images out close so I'm not keen on these to be honest! and of course the frame has been machine sewn too,
Tilda and Edwin hope you have loved looking at their wedding photo, lol
and you can just see peeking at the back the maid of honour which you can see a little more on the main image along with the dog lol,

challenges

Deep ocean ~ flowers
Daring cardmakers ~something old something new( some of my stamps are old, as is my lace, the car is new, sorry nothing borrowed but I have got blue) lol

well guys hope you like my creation,
remember my candy!
Jims off next week so I may not be on here so much lol,
love and Hugs Liz xx

Ooppsssss

Hi peeps, as I'm writing this it's just started raining,!
wish we had his lovely summer day!
it's challenge time over at Basic Grey and this week we want to see your stitching, I think real or faux will do as I know you don't all like to sew with a machine or by hand lol,
I used to sew fabric for a living now my machine would faint if it saw cloth he he,
as you can see I've used a side stepper card to create a scene with, my papers are Basic Grey Marjoline I think as I've lost the front cover, so if I'm wrong I'm sure someone will tell me lol,
I cut out the middle of the stepper card and used my images for the scene,
all are from Magnolia and all are coloured with copics,

Have you noticed Edwin has no line? go on look closer
His line is caught round a tree,
this happens quite a few times but the fishermen would never admit it!!! lol
I showed it my hubby and he just laughed and said yes you wouldn't believe how many you see dangling like, so of course that must mean he never does it lol,

challenges,
Crafts and me ~ stitching,
TOMIC ~ summer
All that scraps ~ summer
up to now I've not seen any other this will fit into, so if you know of any please let me know,
the text is generated on my computer,
Magnolia Doohickey grass, fence dies have been used too,

well I'm back tomorrow with my ATSC creation,
have fun,
I have candy!!!

The mushroom is covered with Glamour dust as is the outer circle of the ring,
the backing papers are from the Summer Breeze collection and are gorgeous! some are glittered and I've used some of this as well for the bling effect,
Bea is coloured with my copics, just loving these at the moment, do you have spells where you pick one medium over another? you don't have to answer just being nosey lol!!!

have you got that I love cute yet!!
I've used a card blank from craftwork cards, which i have distressed with Distress inks, I have also distressed my main image layer too,the flower is a Molly Blooms flower which I have stamped in grey onto vellum then highlighted with a spica pen, the flower head I stamped again, cut round freehand to get a flower shape then layered this onto two die cut large flower shape die by Sizzix, I highlighted these with the pen too, in RL this shimmers beautifully, all has been joined together with a brad,
The images have been coloured with Copics,

Challenges
Scrap creations ~ anything goes

Our challenge today is chosen by my lovely friend Mandy is
at the beach,
well I've done a easel style cut out creation  again, must stop doing these they take ages lol,
As you can see all images are by Magnolia and are coloured with copics again,
This is the left hand side of the card which includes my new  fishing Tilda, for the line I have used real fishing line which I nabbed off my hubby lol, I then stuck her bait hook  onto it, see main picture, the oyster shell I made by folding some card, stamping the shell, cutting them out, colouring in the middle and adding a pearl then I edged the shell with glitter and the shell effect on the top too,
This side has one  of the latest collections too which is Tilda with Kite, I backed the string with a piece of  thick line which gave it strength to stand up, all the front images are on tabs to keep them upright apart from the shells of course lol,
the pier is made from  corrugated card, stripped from a cardboard box, painted with acrylic paint and I've then  added tilda to sit on top,
the mock fishing net is made by using cheesecloth roughly cropped and stuck to the card with a hot glue gun, the starfish have been stuck the same way too, the sea is a clip art image which I cut round freehand and highlighted with a white pen and some glitter, oh look you can see fishing Tilda's bait hook lol,
The flag poles are made from fishing pole tips which again I robbed off Jim, to be fair he did say I could lol, anyway I cut them to the right size, they were black so I coloured them with acrylic paint, then I wrapped fluffy string down the pole,  the tops are a brad which I glued on with a hot glue gun, then I attached them on to the card with a hot glue gun too,
my papers are machine sewn,

right hand side view with the Magnolia tree which was flippin hard to cut out , Tildas gorgeous dog and of course Scarecrow Tilda who isn't scary at all, but adorable, the straw was hard to cut out too lol,
the left hand side has another tree this is from the latest collection I think, I must check which collection and the name of the images, ( note to self) he he; mushrooms  and butterflies, all are coloured with my copics,
I've also used the Tag Doo hickey and added flowers from WOC, pearl stem from Hobby craft and Kars,

I made my easel style card again and cut out the middle for Teddy Bea to be able to swing,
I thought she'd look cute in a trellis effect frame so I used a Martha Stewart punch,
I was given some lovely ribbon which looks like leaves so I trailed this around the frame and added roses from WOC for the flowers,
This is a closer look of Teddy Bea, isn't she gorgeous, I love teddies,
the rest of my card has again flowers from WOC but this time I've used larger flowers and a charm,
I kept the look as soft as I could to compliment the detailed background, or at least I hope I have lol,

Tilda's Birthday party

Hi peeps,
Tildas having a party with her friends and of course her dog too, so much excitement lol,
the card is an easel type which I have cut the centre part away from so that Tilda can swing on her swing,
I masked Tilda first then cut them out, then when I had got my main piece the right size I stamped  the tree branch on the top again to position it where I wanted it, then I added my cut out one on top,

all my images have been coloured with copics and then cut out,
I attached part of the Magnolia Doo Hickey fence to the bottom of my easel card and added cut out leaves in front of that with a Martha Stewart punch, the swirl on the left hand side is a Magnolia Doo Hickey die too,
sorry but it's hard to photo to see the detail at the back lol,
My front images all have tabs on to allow them to keep upright,
as you can see I've used a mixture of Magnolia sets, some of them from the latest collection too,  ie the mushrooms and Tilda with her basket of strawberries,

seeing as it says it will go soon I didn't want to miss it,

anyway I've made a card, using copics in a different way to my usual way,
I've tried to get the copic distressed look, it's the first time I've tried it and I quite like it, may be because I also love to use distress inks too,
I also love this Magnolia image, isn't she soooo cute!
The distress look is for darker edges and quite pale centres, to the bits your colouring,
