Winter nights

Hi guys, I'm back today with another project as guest for Noor Design UK, this time I've used the A4 Box Art treat box but I've turned it into a lantern,

I made the box out of some card stock then used a layer of paper from the Happy Holidays paper pad, on the front I replaced this with some acetate onto which I had stamped some snowflakes from the Winter wishes ice crystal stamp set,

When assembled I added a little of the roof tiles Soft board and dusted with a little Snow Tex here and there,
I then added some gorgeous flowers from Tracy and one or two from Sweet Lilac too,

I finished it off by adding a hanging hook from my stash so it can hang up too,
Hope this has given you another idea for using the treat box too,

Colour theme at Tando Creative

Hi guys, over at Tando Creative we have a colour challenge going on,
I decided to make a Christmas window scene with it,

I used one of the Arabian arch layered with inner arches as my base, this I painted with
Deco Art white gesso first, then when dry painted using some bundled sage distress ink mixed with some water, when this was dry on the back I stenciled a snowflake using some of the Deco Art modeling paste and the mini snowflakes mask, before the paste dried I added some glamour dust glitter,
To make the window pane effect I used some acetate then scored lines cross ways using my scor pal,
On the bottom sill I used some deco art texture sand to look like snow,
I finished off the look by also adding one of the  Tando Creative mini leaves1
Edwin is coloured with my copics in the other colours in the scheme,

Come and join us for the chance to win some fabby Tando Creative goodies,

GDT for Noor Design UK

I'm here today with my first project as guest designer for Noor Design UK, the lovely Tracy asked me if I fancied being a guest and of course I said yes, as some of you know I Love the stuff Tracy has in her shop,

I used one of the gorgeous MDF leaves as my base then stenciled through the -
010 mask art flower swirl with grunge paste, I left parts of it choppy as I think at this time of year nature is a little grungy and that's how I like it!! lol,
When the paste was dry I sprayed a few Prima colour bloom sprays on it, Tracy has some of these in her store and I love these too, antique gold, Gold foil and Gilded
I took some of my favourite soft board bricks - 014 and added a couple of colours of distress ink to them then adhered these to the leaf, slightly to one side and higher then the centre, these are peeking out at the top behind the craft paper art leaves - 008
I also coloured some of the - 027 paper art leaves with my distress inks and slightly shaped them by hand to give depth,

I finished off my leaf with some orange flowers from Sweet Lilac and the large gorgeous flower sent by Tracy, I also added another three soft board bricks under the flower display to finish off,
I think I may give this to my mum, as she adores Autumn and loves these colours,
Check out Tracy's fabulous store for more gorgeous products and her blog for some fantastic ideas from the talented girls,
Back next Friday with my next  Noor Design project,
