Keep Calm And Carry On

Hi guys, I'm back today with a project i made for Tando Creative DT, the theme is
Use a Stencil or two,
It had a life of its own and finished up being completely different to what I'd thought of, I'll show you first then explain, lol

I first drew around the gorgeous Giovanna profile stencil, coloured her with my copics and cut her out, then placed her on one side of my craft table, while I did the canvas,
I was spraying some of the paints on and when i looked it had gone further than my prepared box with newspaper in to hold excess paint and sprayed a fine mist all over the image,
I didn't know whether to laugh or cry!!!
Not having much time to do another I shouted loudly a little!!! eh hum and then thought come on what can you do with it, so keep calm and carry on it became, !!!!! lol

I used the cogs group steampunk stencil and the sequin waste stencil using grunge paste  on my background, so all together I used three stencils, then some of the chipboard  screws from the
screws grab bag and cogs from the cogs grab bag, the bottom of the image has one of the
I also added some metal embellishments, flowers, mulberry bark, dry wall tape, masking tape and some frantage from the encrusted jewel bronze kit all from my stash,
then went to work with my sprays!!! yes you know all about that!! lol

I finished off some of the metal bits with silks paints and Inka Gold waxes,
Then to tie it all in I printed KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON on my computer, this hangs in my craft room as a reminder to always put my stuff away from the spray paints and too see if you can do something else then whats in your head!!!

Remember you can join us in any of the themes this month, using Tando creative products or any other, but if you do use Tando's you get placed in the draw twice,

Up up and Away

Hi guys, it's time for a new challenge over at
This time the theme is spots and or stripes,

I made this for my Nephews Birthday last week, it's always so hard what to do for a grown man isn't it?
I used the fabulous papers from Maja Design's Vintage Autumn Basics collection, then just added a few paint dots with a stamp from my stash, and a clock from another of their papers, all edges are distressed and have Walnut stain distress ink added,
the Gears are chipboard from Dusty Attic and I added texture sand then when dry painted them with my sprays, finally adding a hint of Inka Gold Waxes to them,
The wooden Balloon is from my stash and I drew around the shape,in some of the papers, edged it with vintage photo distress ink and distressed the edges too,

The chocolate button  twine is from The Ribbon Girl, screw heads are junk findings, I found on sale in a local craft shop,

Treasure Box

Hi guys, I'm here today with a DT post for Tando Creative,
The theme this week is a colour one,
and I have used some of the fabulous Tando stencils and chipboard to finish this paper mache box off from my stash,

Shown above is the lid, I started off with a cogs group mask and grunge paste, I also added a little dry wall tape here and there too, when the grunge paste was dry i then added some of the
Morrocan Grid chipboard using the outer parts, the inner parts I grouped together on the bottom right,
I also added a hint of lace, flowers and a metal ornament i had in my stash too, then i used my sprays to get as close to the colours in the theme as I could, lol
I finished off the top with some Bo Bunny Jewels, love how one of the cog masks looked like a flower so i added a jewel there too,

For the sides I used another mask/stencil -  sequin waste and again a hint of the dry wall tape, then I added my sprays,
Come and join us in any of the themes this month, remember you don't have to use Tando Creative chipboard to join, but if you do you'll be entered twice,

Anything goes at paper Take Weekly

Hi guys,
Over at Paper Take Weekly the theme is anything goes with optional - use torn paper,
we are being sponsored by the fabby Lili of the valley,
I'm cheating a bit here as I am using the card I made for my
Guest spot on the Maja Design blog, lol
The papers are from the latest Summer Crush collection, which i was lucky enough to be sent in a package including another set too, yeah!! how lucky am I!!

Anybody who knows me knows I love my maja Design papers!!!!

My papers are distressed and torn slightly too, I used the wet paper technique for adding some lace behind at the top of my paper, then used the same lace from The Ribbon Girl at the bottom of my card, I added a clock cut out of some more Maja design paper and some flowers from Sweet lilac,

Tilda from the latest collection is coloured with my distress re-inkers and then i added pearl dots coloured with my copics for some earrings,

Hope you'll come and join us!!!
ps, thanks for all my lovely new Followers and friends, and my older ones too, I love seeing you, and the kettles always on, so sit a while and have a brew, xx
