Something A Little Different For Me!!

Hi guys, as you know I like to do different stuff, so this time I was in the mood to do some colouring and embossing,

I made the bauble shape out of my Brother scan n cut machine, a pressie for Christmas but had to try it out didn't I? well I love it, anyway I digress so back to the card, lol

I stamped some Christmas Roses by Altenew onto water colour card, masking the flowers as I went then using masks placed some of the leaves behind, these I then coloured with some water colour paints from my stash,

I die cut out the stamped image into a circle and did the same with some vellum, this I placed over the top then I added some of the next layer of flower from the same set but this time on the vellum and used a versa mark ink pad, then I heat set them,

I then added some clusters of tiny beads around the circle to add a little texture and interest with out taking it off the flowers,
I finished it off with a little ribbon and a snowflake chipboard by Bloomar Design, simply adding a self adhesive pearl effect gem,

My last exploding box this year

I made this exploding box with some of the awesome BlooMar chipboards, for my Granddaughter, she loves exploding boxes as I think she gets excited not knowing what's in them till she opens them, lol

I used the wonderful papers by ScrapBoys from the Cotton winter collection as well as some of the images which I have fussy cut out, I used this adorable Sleigh from BlooMar Chipboards on here too, this I added some colour and texture to by adding some embossing powders over, then I used some snow effect stuff on the top and on the banner as well,

I created a window effect with a Magnolia die and some kraft card stock, again adding some snow effect stuff,

This is the inside, added some more fussy cut out images and a few beads and sequins,

I couldn't resist using this adorable hanging stocking chipboard over a fireplace I created out of thick card again from a Magnolia die, the logs dies are from them too, the chipboard has the same two colours of embossing powder used as on the sleigh,

Again using embossing powder on the chipboard I layered it up with some fussy cut images, simply adding some beads and a sequin to finish,

I decided to keep the colour theme going on this as well,

The 3D tree has white embossing powder on it, then I used some of the blue on the star, the chipboard presents have the two colours used to tie it all in, I then added some gems in the two colours, finishing off with one of handmade Poinsettias, this time made out of paper,

Naughty Or Nice

I thought I'd show you a fun card I've created with a Gnome which I created with my Silhouette machine, I love Gnomes!! lol

Again it's for yet another fella in my family so it's not overly fussy, lol

the colours are a little stronger too but for some reason my camera won't pick it up, oh well that's life!!!
I finished off the card with some BlooMar chipboard snowflakes which I used some embossing powder on the top, then I used some Finnabair snowflake paste on the sign and the bottom of the Gnome,

so fairly clean and simple for me!!! but hey sometimes it's gotta be done right?

Snow is Falling

I got this fabulous MDF Mail Album from My lovely friend Agnes owner of 14 Craft Bar recently by  Scrapiniec, which I altered using using the colour  white, with a hint of Silver too,
I decorated it to give a frosty snow effect using some mixed media and my Foamiran Poinsettia with winter leaves dies from lady E Design

........................................................................

I started off by painting the MDF Mail album with some white Gesso, giving them a couple of coats, then when dry going over with a coat of white Acrylic paint,
In places I added some crackle paste to give an aged effect,

Next I added my paper leaves made with Lady E Design Poinsettia and Winter Leaves dies, I cut some of the leaves out of non shed glitter card too, then the Poinsettias which I made out of 0.6 White Foamiran, these I added a hint of fine glitter glue to each petal,

I added some Old Silver Wax with my finger here and there, having my floral display on first helped me to know where to put it,

Some people use the scroll effect on the inside at the top but I wanted to make a feature of it so after I had added all the above I glued it in place on the top as shown,

I used the small MDF adornments on this and on the bottom scroll too, this makes it look different but you can of course use it any other way too, non is right or wrong, do what ever you fancy,

I added some Art Stones mixed with some snowflake paste then I added these to the bottom right,

When dry I added some bead string and glitter balls to my floral display then I added some Pinflair Ice Diamond Glitter on the leaves and parts of the Mail album to finish it off, this really glimmers in real life, but sorry it doesn't really show to well on here,

I finished off with some various white laces, seam binding and a bit of white twine on the rings used to hold the Album together,

I thought I'd show another view of the Album as well,

I hope your inspired to have a go yourself, feel free to be inspired to use any ideas I've shown here, let me know if you have a go to,
