Anything goes at LHOSM with a no heat Foamiran flower tutorials too

Hi guys, I'm here today with my first creation as a DT member for the 

Lovely hAnglar Or Sweet Magnolia challenge,

we are being kindly sponsored by Noor design UK

The theme  is 'anything goes'

 so I thought I'd show you another Easter creation I had made,

I used Sitting Spring Tilda and Forget me not Tilda, both are coloured with my distress inks, then fussy cut out,

I made my Easter eggs in the same way as I did the last ones, there is a tutorial at the top of my blog on how I altered them, only this time I added a hint of lace on the edge, then again I used some cheesecloth in the center of the egg for Tilda to sit on, I also used some vintage seam binding  at one end of the egg,

In this half of the egg I also added a feather too, I fixed some moss in front of Sitting Spring tilda and some glitter style eggs too,

To finish off the scene I added a  die cut tree, onto which I added one of my handmade air dried clay butterflies,

The  flowers are made with a Spellbinders Hydrangea die, and the larger ones with one of the Rosy Dot AC3 dies, with some Foamiran, I will pop a little tutorial on these below,

I cut out this La La lands tree die out of some chipboard simply adding some natural coloured Foamiran tiny flowers too, using a Cheery Lynn baby's breath die,

Fold your Foamiran in three and run through your die cutting machine,

Separate all the flowers and colour on both sides with a wet wipe or wet kitchen roll piece with some Gelatos,

Place the coloured flowers onto a foam mat and using a small ball tool press in the center of each flower,

Use as required,

Larger flower Tutorial:

Fold your Foamiran over four times and run the larger and smaller six pointed petal dies through your die cutting machine (makes two flowers)

I coloured the flowers the same way as before,

Fold the Foamiran petals together then twist and roll the flower over in your hands and between your fingers till they resemble these below,

open up the flowers and  very lightly smooth the middle of each petal with your fingers, when all pieces are done to this stage, take your glue gun and layer on top of each other using two larger ones below then two of the smaller flowers next, staggering the petals each time, I left these with out stamens this time,

I think they look slightly like a water lily, but that's just me, lol

Orchid style Foamiran flowers

Hi guys, i thought I'd show you today a few Foamiran Orchid style flowers I have been having a play with, I love to play about with some of my dies and see what I can come up with, lol

I used the three petal die from the Rosy Dot Heart Flowers die to make them and a scalloped circle  1" die,

below is a small tutorial on how I made them,

I have missed a few stages out because I think by now you all know how to cut out the foam, see my other tutorial if you wish to check it out though, lol so anyway using  four layers of Foamiran folded over and the three petal die, place through your die cutting machine and do the same for the scalloped circle die, I then coloured them both with some Victorian Velvet distress ink,

I then took a distress ink pen in Tea Dye and drew some lines and dots from the center of the scalloped circle dies only , as shown below

Then take a medium sized ball tool and a foam mat and press down in the centre of the scalloped circles as shown below,

Take the three petaled flowers and fold the petals together, then roll and scrunch in your hands and between your fingers, till they look like these above, you need two of the three petaled flowers and one scalloped circle for each Orchid style flower,

Gently spread the petal out again using your fingers in the middle of the petals trying not to touch the tops of the petals too much,

on one of the three petaled flowers carefully tear off one of the petals, leaving two as shown above,

Take your glue gun and layer the two petaled flower on top of the three petal, keeping the torn edge facing down, stagger the petals as shown, don't worry about the torn edge as it doesn't show when you glue on the  scalloped circle on top, sorry forgot to take a photo of this stage!! grr

when set, make a hole in the middle of the circle and add some stamens of your choice,

Pretty In Plaits

Hi guys, it's our day to show you the April releases, shown on the All Dress Up challenge blog here  I decided to use another gift bag for this adorable Pretty In Plaits image from 

All Dressed Up,

She is coloured with my distress inks, I used the gorgeous papers by Maja Design - Sofiera,

I then added some of the gorgeous embellishments from the Crafteezee collections,

 a metal leaf and the lace heart, the die cut and flowers are from my stash,

I also used a fantasy Magic lace die on the side of the bag simply edging it with some vintage photo distress ink, then I finished off the bottom with a gorgeous metal butterfly again from one of the kits, just adding a little gesso over the top,

The top of the bag is finished off with a little seam binding, wooden butterfly, flower and another die cut,

Just chillin

Hi guys, I've been pretty busy over the weekend with one thing or another, but today I had a little free time and decided I'd make a faux criss cross style card,

I coloured this adorable sitting spring Tilda with my distress inks and lightly added a few stamped some Magnolia  flowers from the Magnolia Kit in pale grey ink using second stamping too, on the edge of  an stitched ovals  Gummiapan die which I got from Swedish House Crafts,

I love criss cross style cards but they use quite a lot of card stock so decided to make a basic styled card look like one, using the adorable Pion Design papers from The Songbirds Secret, I bought the whole collection for £16.99 again from Swedish House crafts,

I added a few of my handmade Foamiran flowers too,

I had machine stitched this card, but the stitching came loose after I'd made up the card!!! after a few choice words I took the stitches out and went over with a white ink pen, not really the look I wanted but better then loose stitching or the card needing to go in the bin!! lol

Hi guys, It's time for our new challenge over at

All Dressed Up

as always it's anything goes as long as you use a All dressed up image, 

here's mine

I love this party season image and thought it would go fab with a gift bag, 

I coloured it with my distress inks and used some of the fabulous Maja Design Sofeiro papers, so love these and Maja have just re-released them, yeah!!!

I kept to the same colours for all three girls, listed below!!! I then added a little seam binding twisted and threaded through a bling embellishment, then added some flowers, and below that a row of pearls which came from Tracy's collections, shown on main picture,

I also used a Fantasy Magic Lace die again bought from Tracy's online shop on the edge which I edged with a little vintage photo distress ink,

Distress inks used:

Skin - Vintage photo/ tattered Rose

Pinks - Victorian velvet / Pumice Stone

Grey - Hickory Smoke

Hair -  Antique Linen

My Foamiran daffodil tutorial

Hi guys, I recently showed you a Easter project onto which I had some handmade Foamiran style Daffodils, I said then I would show you how I made them, so here goes,

There are quite a few photo's so you may wish to grab a brew first!! you have been warned!! lol

I started out by cutting 4 layers of Foamiran through a Rosy Dot AC3 die that I got from Tracy at Noor Design UK, I used the largest pointed petal out of the two pointed petal dies in the set,

Separate the pieces out and colour with your chosen medium, I used some Gelatos and a wet wipe to blend the colour onto the petals on both sides

I wanted a paler look to my pointed petals but you can of course colour them deeper,

I then did the same steps using a small scalloped circle die about 1" in diameter, I think mine is by Tonic but any make will do,

I used a slightly darker Gelatos for these, again colouring on both sides,

Take one of your pointed petal dies and your medium hot iron, plus a wooden skewer or similar to hold the petal against the iron without burning your fingers, place one petal at a time with the skewer for a couple of seconds then release,

Do the same with each petal till all the petal tips are slightly bent forward,

Do the same for all the flowers you wish to make

Next take your circle dies and hold it against the iron again with the skewer, holding it close to the iron till it starts to lift slightly away,

As shown below, keep the skewer on the circle but let it ease away from the iron,

When it is quite risen and looks rounded release from the iron,

This is the look your after

Next you need an embosser tool and a deep foam mat or something similar,

Then turn the flower so the curled points are facing down, as shown below

Press down in the center with your embosser

Let the flower close up quite close to the embossing tool,

Next take the circle dies and do the same for these too,

sorry about the fuzzy photo, my hubby was trying to take the photos as I worked, lol

You are now ready to fix the two together, use a hot glue gun, add a drop of glue to
the underneath of the circle section,

Fix the top circle section onto one of the pointed petal flowers with the curled points of the petals facing down, when the glue has cooled

When the glue has cooled take your embossing tool and press in the center once again,

Again I let the flower come close to the embossing tool,

Next take a wooden skewer or similar and make a hole in the center for some stamens,
shown below

I added some stamens, after first dabbing some vintage photo distress ink on the ends, these are not truly like daffodill ones but they were in my stash so I made do, lol

 I began by wrapping a piece of thin wire around the middle , bend the flowers in the middle, so the ends go together,

Then thread them through the hole in the middle of the flowers,

I then fixed them in place with a dot of hot glue on the back,

And cut of the rest of the stems when set,

One of the finished flowers shown below,
