A few of my favourites of 2016

Hi guys, hubbys gone back to work today and we have a delivery due, it could been from seven this morning, so guess who was up early!!!
so I was looking through my creations from this year and thought I'd share a few with you again,
This of course had to be done, who can have a Christmas without Santa? well I mean I know you can but hey as I said, this just had to be done!!!
I painted, stenciled, decorated the sleigh and reindeer, then coloured and fussy cut out Santa, it was so much fun to do!! he he

These of course were my altered bird houses, scroll down my blog for the tutorial on how I altered these if interested or haven't seen it already, again i had so much darn fun doing these,
This card I made for my hairdresser, she came just before Christmas and told me she loved it!! so much she's going to take the 50 off , the front off and resend it as her own make!!, I told her cheeky ****** but if she wanted she could, lol
This violin I made from scratch, I got a flat drawing of the front of a violin off the internet, then made it larger, then I wanted it 3D so I made some strips for the middle sections between the front and back, very fiddly but again I enjoyed it, the flowers were the first ones I made using the fabulous Foamiran, so love this stuff as well,
I've picked this one because I love Wendy's images from all dressed up, she is coloured with my distress re-inkers and the gorgeous embellishments came from Tracy at Noor Design UK,
I also made these flowers on here but out of cardstock this time, painted with distress ink then shaped by hand, the beautiful papers, twine and chipboard were from Monika at love to craft and create.

And lastly my canvas, this is in my craftroom and when it's a dark drab horruble day i look at it and it reminds me of a gorgeous summers day, Yeah roll on summer, lol
Well think that's it guys, I've bored you enough!!!

I'm off to make a coffee, before the delivery man turns up!!
Wishing you all a very Happy, Beautiful New Year, with lots of good luck, health and best wishes,
and lots of happy crafting!!!!

Santa Claus is coming to town

Hi guys, I've been playing with some mixed media again and a fabulous Santa's Sleigh from Creative Expressions which I have decorated,
I started off by painting all the pieces on both sides with white Gesso, when this dried I took a couple of stencils and grunge paste, I used a Tando Creative one on the sleigh and a Tim Holtz festive one on the deers, when dry I went over the top of the stenciling with a little distress ink using a damp wet wipe,
I made up the sleigh and the deers, ready to begin decorating the outside,
On the back of the sleigh I used some of the In the forest winter wonderland kit from Tracy at Noor Design UK, an enamel dot, shabby white larch cones, a shabby sprig, and the snowflake charm, which twinkles beautifully in real life, I then also added some Pomegranate apples, beaded stamens, moss and natural twigs, then a handmade Poinsettia with Foamiran and some stamens in my stash,
I used a Magnolia image from an older collection, painted with my distress re-inkers then fussy cut out, I added liquid applique for the fur, on the base of the sleigh I added some Dutch Doobadoo structure paste peaking it here and there for added interest,
I had already stenciled both sides of the sleigh pieces and I have left the inside of the larger one quite plain as I want to use the inner section for some sweets, so taking a lollipop stick and some  fabulous text from a paper by Studio Light, I cut out the text strips, then  adhered them onto the stick, when dry I added some structure paste here and there for a snow effect, a crystal effect snowflake which I had bought last year from Asda finishing it off,
Inside Side view

I next decorated the deers, on this side I again used some of the larch cones and some of the  beaded stamens,
On the outer neck area, I tied some vintage seam binding bought from Tracy at Noor design UK, bells from the kit and a handmade smaller Foamiran flower,
On the inside of the deer I added some white twine as reins then a little of some gorgeous lace that was in the Yuletide kit again from Tracy,
I decorated a gorgeous chipboard snowflake which I got from Monika at Love to craft and Create which I have added glamour dust over the top,
then I finished this section off with some Pomegrate apples, moss, fir cones and natural flowers, then  another wooden reindeer shape from my stash,
I then added a handmade Poinsettia again made with Foamiran, plus a cinnamon stick from the latest kit too,
I glued the white twine to the sleigh then added some more of the natural flowers and a couple of bells on the end of the twine,
Close up of the outside view
Full view again, 👀
Well as you can see it was a lot of work, but it looks fabulous, so much better then in the photo's!! lol
Well, I will be back before the big day, so i hope to see you later too,
Happy Crafting!!

Just because I loved them, lol
We are just back off hols, had a fab time, dry weather and great laughs, so we really enjoyed the break,
Before we went I had popped some cards I made with  these adorable digital images, well I then made a couple more, so thought I'd show you those too,
Again i coloured them with my distress re-inkers, just changing the colours slightly, love liquid applique for the fur trim effect,
This one I coloured the bauble and the bird similar and added tiny dots of glitter on the tree branch,
I then finished both cards off with a postage style stamp,
I am back tomorrow with a Christmas decoration, see you soon,
Happy Crafting!!

I have been good

Hi guys, here's my inspiration for this months all dressed challenge, as always it's anything goes as long as you use a all dressed up image,
I just couldn't resist using this adorable image The night before Christmas, as I wanted to send it to my Granddaughter for Christmas,
I also decided to decoupage the image too, so I coloured her with copics and layered her up,
Hopefully you can see the layers on this side view,
And a closer front view, it was a little fiddly but I love the finished card,
the papers are some old Magnolia paper I have had in my stash for years lol,
The adorable shabby heart on the side came from the latest In the forest winter wonderland kit from Tracy at Crafteezee at Noor design UK as did the lace,
The gems on the sentiment came from the Yuletide collection again from Tracy,
Flowers and the chipboard leaves from my stash ,

We hope you find some time to join us this Holiday Season, but we wish you a very merry Christmas and A Happy New Year to you all,
We also have a themed Facebook challenge going on too, so check that out here,

We're on a little break for a few days, Tegan is seeing Santa on Wednesday, hmmm has she been good??? now that is the question, lol

catch up with you all soon, thanks for your lovely visits,

Christmas Baubles

Hi guys, well it's really coming close to that time of the year now isn't it?
In the latest collection I got  from Tracy at Noor Design UK
In the forest winter wonderland there was these fabulous clear bauble style products, these I decided to decorate with the adorable little trees inside,

I took the trees, and added some Dutch Doobadoo structure paste, using a plastic pallet knife adding peaks here and there, leave these to dry,
When the base was dry I then added a little of the paste to the tree edges then sprinkled some of the glamour dust over the top, which was again in the kit,

While this dried I added some structure paste inside one of the two halves, I did this again with a plastic knife making peaks here and there, while still wet, add one of the trees to one of the halves and try to place where it is in the center and fairly straight, leave this to dry too,

When set I added some of the Viva Decor Ice Crystals which came in the kit on top off the tree base and over the base of the bauble, keeping this half  flat so the crystal doesn't fall out, carefully join the other half to this one,
shake lightly and the crystals should go slightly on the other half at the base too, these shine lovely though typically it's not showig on here!!

I finished my baubles off with some white twine from my stash, then some of the  shabby white larch cones from the kit and some shabby bells again from the kit, I then added some die cut holly leaves and some chipboard holly leaves, edged with distress ink,
I then borrowed some lovely inspiration off Plony and added some of the crystals on the top,

Hope your getting ready for the big day now!!

Isn't he just adorable!!! I coloured him with my distress re-inkers then added some liquid pearl for the fur, papers are by Studio light which i bought from tracy at Noor Design UK,
This is another one!!
again painted with distress re-inkers, bu this time I used dutch Doobadoo structure paste for the snow, using my plastic  palette knife to make peaks for added texture, I also printed out a extra top piece and fussy cut this out to make the one on his head 3D, the sentiment was designed on my computer,
papers are again by Studio light and I used a text stamp on the digi too,
My sister and hubby got one too, as she doesn't really do overly foofy stuff and I just loved this image too,
This one is again coloured the same way, then i added some glamour dust on the bauble, I love this image!!!!!! it's so quirky, but oh so totally me!!!! lol

It's a Cracker!!!

Well a cracker decoration really, I made this from a template using my Silhouette Cameo, as another decoration for my table or where ever it finishes up, lol
Sorry it's a little hard to photograph,
I used some of the papers from the latest In the forest winter wonderland collection from Tracy at Crafteezee, at Noor design UK  I cut these down to size and then distressed the edges with some distress ink and then my scissors, I then finished the pieces off with some machine sewing,
On the front I added a snowflake chipboard which came from
Monika's online shop Love to craft and create, this I just coloured with ink on the edges,
Top view, I used the fabulous ribbon Tracy had wrapped around the collection on the cracker too as shown,
This closer view shows the adorable lace, shabby white larch cones, cinnamon stick, and some of the flowers all from the kit, I added another chipboard piece on the other side too, but sorry again I forgot to take a photograph,
You can order the monthly kits from tracy here,

Altered Bird boxes with Tutorial

Hi guys, I bought two boxes from The Range with the idea to alter them,
I have seen some gorgeous creations using this sort of style especially from Dorota and she inspired me to have a go too,
I have done a little step by step on how I have gone about it, so warning quite a few photo's so maybe you want to grab a brew and a biccie first!! 😊
First I gave them both a couple of coats of white Gesso,
As you can see they have a star and a heart on the front, I wanted to make these stand out so I made my own embellishments to go on the top of them,
I found some dies in my stash to fit the shape on the box and a slightly larger one as shown, I placed them onto a magnetic mat so they staid in place while they went through my die cutting machine, I first cut them out using some cardboard from an old package, then again with some Tim Holtz Ideaology Grunge paper, this doesn't cut very well so I ran it through a few times then trimmed what was left with my scissors,
Glue the chipboard one and the Grunge paper one together,
when dry glue these onto the boxes,
then go over with some Dutch Doobadoo structure paste, dabbing it on with a knife, so you get a rough uneven texture, let this dry, it may take a while depending on the depth of your paste!!

Hopefully you can see the texture on this photo!!!

I left these to dry, and went onto decorating the sides,
I took a brick stencil and some Grunge Paste which I put through the stencil randomly here and there with my knife, the while it was still wet, I put some Stampendous aged ivory embossing enamel over the top, then I went over with my heat gun, this makes the base structure paste bubble slightly which I think adds to the texture and it also sets the embossing enamel over the top too,
I  placed some cheesecloth randomly on the tops,
Now for the fun part!!!!! I finished them off with  a little crackle glaze and some foam balls in two sizes, which I stuck on with some mat medium from my stash, these again take a little while to dry, so do a section at a time,
Meanwhile I made a Poinsettia flower with some Foamiran and coloured with some distress ink,
I  heat set them then shaped them and layered them up, adding some gold coloured stamens from my stash, when I had made them I decided to add a little stickles on the edges of the petals too,
I then added some Scrapiniec chipboard which I again covered with the Frantage and added some Pomegranate Apples from my stash, finally adding the flower on one side of the box,
This is one of the other sides, using the foam balls again, some chipboard and one of the bark stars which came in my Yuletide collection from Crafteezee at Noor Design UK,
This is the flower on the other box, again I used  the chipboard, foam balls and Pomegranate Apples and some of the smaller bark stars again from the Yuletide kit,

Are you ready for the front view? 👀

The top sections were finished off with some gorgeous chipboard pieces from Monika at
love to craft and create, I kept these in their natural colour,
I took some  Dusty Attic chipboard bricks in my stash and painted them with white gesso, then adhered them onto the front sections, with some more foam balls and some tiny Gypsophila type flowers from my stash plus a molded bird which the lovely Bev sent me, finishes the boxes off,
The front sections of these boxes remove to add a battery tealight in, doing the decorating this way means I can still do this too,
Let me know what you think,
