It's Butterflies at Magnolia Forever,

Hi guys, over at Magnolia Forever we have a fab challenge for you
To use Butterflies,
well me being me, I was in the mood for something a little different, so I made this,

All in all there are five butterflies on this project lol,
I stamped Tilda with Daffodil and masked her with a fence stamp, when coloured I fussy cut them out and added a small die cut butterfly onto the fence,

The bird boxes had no stands so i made my own making a long box shape by cutting two pieces of card,
1x8cm long
 and
1x6cm, both 9 cm wide.
score with your scoreboard, (I used my cm Scor-Pal) every 2cm along the length leaving,1cm from the end length ways for a flap to add the glue too,  at the same time score in 2 cm from both ends width ways for the top and bottom,
snip the score lines down to the 2 cm score line for the top and bottom so the edges fold flat and make a box shape as shown,

Before making up the boxes and bases I added some DP from the House of Roses collection from Lemon craft from Scrap and craft to the bird box templates and the bases I made,

I made the roof section by cutting a Magnolia border die and layered them as shown on the above picture, then I added a couple of flowers and a Butterfly on the outer sides, this is a Magnolia stamp which i coloured and fussy cut out,
Again I used a die cut for the smaller butterfly on the front,

Tilda with summer pants is again coloured with my distress re-inkers and fussy cut out, I added some Spanish moss and some more flowers plus a holly leaf die and grass die from my stash,
the birds are two different dies too, I used a piece of  a skewer for the birds to perch on at the front of their boxes,
Here is the other side of the second bird box which again has a butterfly on and i also coloured a Magnolia tree stamp, fussy cut out out and added a Noor Butterfly  die on the tree stump too,
Flowers are from Sweet Lilac,
I made the base by cutting a piece of chipboard, covering it with chalk paint, when dry i added some texture sand over the top, let that dry then went over again with the chalk paint,

Full view again,
Hope you'll join us with your butterfly creations,

Challenges
Stamp and create with magnolia - use a fence
Magnolia-licious - spring into April
Scor-Pal - More than 1 score / spring and or flowers

I made my card using some designer paper from Kaisercraft called Sandy Toes paper, i love the pattern on it,
I then took a stencil from The Crafters Workshop called mini, Live, Love Laugh I began by stenciling the flower head with grunge paste, then took Studio 490 embossing paste in metallic silver to do parts of the flower and the rest of the stencil,
To finish it off I added a Noor design butterfly die from Icon,

Very "simples" for me, but I love the way it's come out,

Hi, have you eaten your eggs yet? be honest who got some?? lol
I'm back today with a card for Paper Nest Dolls with this adorable image called Avery with puppy, I love this as it so reminds me of Kay when she used to walk her Westie,

I coloured the image with my distress re-inkers and tried to make the dog look like her dog Sally, which was usually white!!!!  hhmmm!!!!
I also used a Go kreate die for the base card, cheesecloth, doily and chipboard brick effects from Dusty Attic, given a light gesso treatment,
The beautiful papers are by Maja Design as is the sentiment strip on the bobbin spool,

Some bunny loves you, with tutorial

Hi, over at Magnolia Forever we have a fab challenge for you
Anything but a card / Easter,
I made my cart and used Some Bunny Loves you Tilda, coloured with my copics and fussy cut out,
I've made a  flower cart  for Tilda's garden and it's been invaded by chicks too, lol

Here is the tutorial for how I made the cart,
I used this die by Spellbinders which I've had in my stash a while but i can't find it's name, you can of course use anything suitable too,

cut 1 out of card stock
and 1 out of designer paper ( mine was house of roses from scrap and craft)

glue the designer paper one to the card stock one, then cut it in half as shown, i distressed the edges with distress ink,

Cut a strip of your chosen card stock I used Kraft card,
16.1 cm long by 8 cm wide,
score 1 cm in along the long length and at 3.4 cm in from the ends,
leaving 9.3 in the middle, I used my scor-pal for this, I have both the cm one and the inch one, and love them both and use them all the time for everything,
cut on the 3.4 crease lines up too the  inner score line as shown above,

Fold up the outer sections towards the middle section and add glue along the edge, fix onto your die shape so it doesn't show from the outside, as shown,

Here is one side finished , finish off the other side exactly the same,

Shown here with both sides glued and ready to decorate with  some panels of designer paper on the outer sides, 6 cm wide by 3.4 cm high,

I added  chipboard wagon wheels by Dusty Attic at the back which i had painted lightly with gesso as I wanted a rustic look, so I  also made the  front wheels smaller by using some chipboard gears, again from Dusty Attic and again painted with gesso, you can of course use circle dies to achieve your wheels too,

I finished my cart off with some handles made with a flourish die I cut down,

I added some pearls to the middle of the wheels, then decorated the rest of my cart with natural fibers for a straw effect, glittered eggs from Scrap and Craft, and gorgeous flowers from Sweet Lilac, white flower stash,

The chicks were in my stash,

Closer view showing the outer sides of the finished cart too,

And the other side,

I hope you've enjoyed my tutorial and may have a go yourself, if you do please show me,
