Clay Ballerina

Hi guys, just popping by with a project I've been making this week, Tegans Birthday was on Wednesday and she had a little party, it was such fun to see her enjoying her new pressies etc and her cake, I took some piccies which i will make into a layout later,
anyway this I made for her bedroom door while I had some free time lol,

It's the first model I've made using Fimo clay so don't look to close lol, I used Fimo soft and it was a little too soft at times but other wise I was quite pleased with it,
the MDF frame I painted with Gesso then added cheesecloth and used a crafters workshop stencil with grunge paste for a little added texture and interest,
the wooden flower is by kaisercraft and I painted it with gesso then added a script stamp from Stempelglede on the top when dry,
the air dry clay butterfly is from a Martha Stewart mould, to finish off I used some of the beautiful paper flowers from Sweet Lilac and a couple of brk hearts from Live and Love crafts,

Tegan is always dancing either ballet style or street dancing style, so funny to see her do a combo of both at times, not bad for a three year old who's never been to dancing lessons he he,

Use texture at We Do Doobadoo

Hi guys, when i saw the challenge we have for you this time at We Do Doobadoo I thought I would try a canvas, it's my first one so it was a little learning curve lol,
I started by adding a couple of strips of masking tape, the type used for covering things you don't want to get paint on when decorating and ruched it up a little to try to look a little like water effect, thanks Gabrielle for your inspiration hun xx
Next I used two DD stencils with grunge paste for texture and interest, the Burlap stencil 470.715.006 and the faded dots stencil 470.715.004, I also used a crafters workshop stencil too called - Mini art is, for the word effect,
For more background texture I used some cheesecloth here and there painted on with gesso,
I then sprayed my Prima Bloom sprays onto the canvas soft teal and Iris then added
the large wooden wheat piece I got from Bunny Zoe's, I used a couple of coatings of gesso on first then when dry added a script stamp from Stempelglede, I also did the same to a wooden fence I got from The Range which was two colours of pink when i bought it lol,

The gorgeous flowers are  from Sweet Lilac, the back ones were white and I sprayed them with some watered down chalk ink then added the other flowers on top and then a pearl in the center of those,

The waterlily flower I made using Fimo, you know the stuff you kneed, and shape then bake in the oven, for the stamens detail I used some Stickles glitter glue when they had cooled down, I stuck this onto my canvas with a glue gun, my daughter says it looks like china in real life he he,
The branches were made using a spellbinders  Cherry Blossoms die and I cut into a cardboard box into which my new Prima colour bloom sprays had just been delivered in, (so love these they are gorgeous colours and have a little sheen in real life), this gave a fab depth to the branches and something I will do  again, the nest I made using some burlap cloth then curled twine on top and added some air dry clay eggs into it, these I sprayed with one of the bloom sprays soft teal and added dots on with a pen when dry, again thanks Gabrielle,
the flowers on here are from Sweet Lilac too,
The paper art butterflies are by Dutch Doobadoo too and I added a few pearl drops made with liquid pearl onto the body and added a few gems for the tail,

well hope you can join us in the fun, remember you don't have to use DD products but if you have them we love to see them,

The Alphabet was made using a DD stencil  Alphabet 2- 470.455.002 with some grunge paste, the black for the blackboard came in the set,
I added a Magnolia Doo Hickey View Master die behind the Maja design clock and added a Magnolia Knick Knacery in the center and a few more for the tail of the Butterfly which i made using air dry clay and a MS mold,

The Beautiful flowers are by Sweet lilac and i used some of the gorgeous Wild pansy flowers from Magnolia too, the  Savannah grass is by magnolia too,
I also used a corner die from la La Land crafts for the bottom corners and a cat from a Doo Hickey set too,
The Jigsaw puzzle  pieces are by Dutch Doobadoo - 478.007.013 and I simply stamped a hint of a design from a Stempelglede stamp set and added some numbers from a Noor die,

GDT for Live and Love crafts

Hi guys, I'm so excited to be here today with a card I've made as GDT for live and love crafts challenge which this time is sewing- real or faux,
I love to sew on my cards so it wasn't  too hard of a challenge for me, lol

I've coloured my Saturated canary image  called gardener Gayle with distress re-inkers and machine stitched around the edges,
I also machine stitched the edges on the Maja design Sofiero collection papers- Summer Recidence too,

I used some of the fabulous flowers, and also some from Sweet lilac too, the  gorgeous pearl string and a water can charm, these i added a hint of Snowtex too, the beautiful  "Che'rie" lace  is also from Live and Love crafts,

I added a little more Snowtex to the  Vintage wood Birdcage and some more flowers then used some more on the clay heart,
All edges have vintage photo distress ink on them.
A doily from stash finishes it off,

Thank you sandy so much for asking me to GDT, as you know i love using these products so much!!!!!!!
and your GDT Thank you package was gorgeous hun xx

Honestly do check the awesome goodies you can find in Sandy's store, but don't blame me when you can't stop shopping, lol !!!!

On another note I think kays house is nearly ready for them moving in, so it shouldn't be long before I get my craft room Back,
