Tea Party

Hi guys over at La-La-Land crafts inspiration Friday the theme this time is seeing double
so use two images, flowers dies etc,
The lovely Sandie and Irina who are the most lovely of people asked me to be on the LLLC DT permanently of course i jumped at the chance but then life took over and my hands started aching and my finger blew up with all the colouring and stuff i tried to do in a short time because of CHA coming up where I would need to do a lot more, I have had to very sadly give up my DT role because of this as my fingers/hands just don't like it if they are asked to do too much colouring together, I am ok with a break in between and with more time, but CHA doesn't wait lol,
so I wish to thank Irina and Sandie so  very very much for asking me and for all there friendship and help they have given me xx
I've used Tea Time Marci and a matching tea time set too for my card, all coloured with my copics then fussy cut out, which was a little hard with  my fingers playing up!! too top that off my camera is still poorly and so I have had to use a small one and the piccies are no where near as easy to faff with lol,
Recipe
copics - Skin E000, 00, 11, 21, R11, 30, E04
Pinks - Rv000, R81, R83, R85,

crockery - W0, W1, W3, W5
R81, 83, 85
Icing - E50,
Leaves - YG63, G94, BG 96

Are you all ready for Christmas!!
don't know that I am,
though think my hands need a break!!lol

Dutch Doobadoo DT project

Hi guys, just popping on with a tag holder I've made using some of the fabby Dutch Doobadoo products which you can now buy in the UK at Cuddly Buddly,
I've used the long envelope stencil 470.713.004,
I cut it out of some Magnolia paper and edged the edges with vintage photo distress ink,
I've used an adorable Wee digi image called Holly  and coloured her with my copics adding a little snow tex on the edges and the snow on the tree branch is made using liquid applique,
at the bottom of the envelope I've added the fab  honeycomb soft board 470.007.001 which i cut to size then added some Gesso too, to finish this off I added some flowers and some of the latest paper art feathers 472.948.013 which I glittered up,
the tag inside I just made a tag shape and added a die cut doily by cheery lynn, a flower and some seam binding, inside is a gift card,
This picture has the tag taken out, for the back edge of the envelope I added the same doily die,

Anything goes with optional recycling at totally Tilda

Hi guys, this challenge over at Totally Tilda is the last one till after Christmas, we are back on the 5th January we have so enjoyed looking at all your beautiful creations and look forward to seeing some more next year, this time because of Christmas there will be no midweek contributions from the TT team lol,
for my recycling I've used a toilet roll and hopefully you will be able to follow a small tutorial I've made on how I did it lol,
I'm calling this cotton reel Tilda because of the things I have used
stamp of your choice,
 toilet roll,
copy paper
designer paper
embellishments
circle die,
 scalloped circle die
colouring medium
ink for stamping
glue

I used a 15.2 x 15.2 cm  piece of designer paper which I trimmed to the height of the roll 10.8cm  before starting to glue, slightly curl/ bend  the paper in your hand but  not creasing it and add a little glue on the toilet roll a little at a time carefully added the paper, overlap the edges and adhere using a good strong glue,

Next I took a piece of copy paper 15cm by 5cm and score 2cm in from one of the long edges, I did two of these, cut approximately 1cm snips to the score line on the wider edge , then stick the 2cm part into the inner roll and press firmly so it sticks,
next fold all the strips together so they fill in the hole and glue together, this will give a base for the top and bottom of the roll, I forgot to take a picture of this so I have edited one in quickly, so  hence the reason for no designer paper on the outside lol

To finish of the join I used a pearl string,

I coloured sewing Tilda with my distress re-inkers and added a swirl stamp for a little extra decoration then cut it out with my circle die, I layered this onto my scalloped circle die, this is then stcuck to the top of the toilet roll where it has the copy paper folds to stick too,

The rest of my roll was finished off with a stamp set which was free from a craft mag ages ago, these I stamped onto water colour paper and cut out, I  inked the edges with vintage photo distess ink, the flowers have perfect pearls mist on them,
To the left hand side I have used the gorgeous new Joy crafts birdcage die,

and finished the back off with a few flowers too, it was very difficult to take a good picture of this project it is straight in real life honest!!!! he he,
Front view again!

Pretty things

Hi guys i'm back today for the mid week challenge at Totally Tilda which is
Tilda on anything but a card, this time I've decorated a candle which goes with last weeks coasters and my decorated tissue box too,
I'm full of a cold so hope it makes sense lol
As you can see I've used one of my favorite Tildas Magnolia Tilda and have coloured her onto tissue paper with my copics, then added a few pretty flowers and Joy craft butterflies to finish it off,

Below I am adding a small tutorial on how i did this candle
Take your chosen image and colour her with your chosen medium, like I said I used copics, I usually have two layers of the tissue paper with one underneath the image to absorb any seeping from the copics, this is later thrown away, the copics don't tear the tissue but don't be too heavy handed with the colouring or it will saturate the tissue paper,

After colouring carefully cut the image out leaving a narrow border around the edge, don't worry about this as it disappears when heated so I have not cut out between her legs,
Place your image onto the candle where you want it to be, then carefully take a larger piece of grease proof paper and wrap it round the candle and hold at the back

Take your heat gun and carefully go over the image, going not too close as it will start to melt the candle, the image will go from opaque as seen above to clearly visible, when the image does this move on to another part till all your image is clear, remove the grease proof paper and check your candle and image, the image should have no visible outer edges etc,
Too finish it off just decorate the sides with flowers etc or what ever you fancy, I also used a white fluid ink pen for the white dots in the centre of the flower, as seen above
The gorgeous butterflies are by Joy crafts and I added a smaller one on the side  6003/0033 and a larger on on top 6003/0023, I added a little frantage to them and finished off the top one by adding a pearl string tail from My Crafty Heart which I have just cut up into smaller pieces,
We are being sponsored again by the fabby Sir Stampalot
thank you,

Hi guys, I'm writing this still with a head like mush as i've still got my cold!!! and my camera is still broke so I have taken these pictures on a small one I have, oh i do hope my other can be repaired!!!! lol
I've coloured this adorable image which I'm afraid I don't who's it is as it was in my downloads and it's been there forever lol,
I coloured him with my copics and used liquid applique and snowtex for the snow effects,
the background stars were made by the fabulous Dutch Doobadoo star stencil mask 470.713.104 using some home made 3D paste, the moon shape is by Joy crafts and it is glittered and shines lovely in real life,
A LLLC rolled rose die and some fab cones which came off a tree at the end of summer finish it off,

Show the way

Hi guys back today with another project for inspiration Friday at
La-La-Land crafts,  as I'm GDTing till Christmas, lol reasons for that later lol
this time it's to use the colour scheme, blue, white and brown,
Again I've made a decoration using the fabulous Christmas Lantern Marci, coloured with my copics and then fussy cut out, as usual adhered onto a strip of acetate then stuck this  onto my project,
I started off with a Go Kreate die which I used with watercolour paper to make the river/stream running beneath the fabby LLLC bridge die, after all we wouldn't want Marci getting wet feet now would we? lol
I cut the bridge die out twice added lots of snow tex and used acetate again to  fix them together and to make it stand in place,
The gorgeous Christmas trees are made using a LLLC die and I have cut out quite a few, folded them  roughly in half, inked the edges, added snow tex then stuck the layers together to form 3D trees, you know me I like my 3D stuff at Christmas he he,

Noel

Hi guys, just showing a latest card I've made before my camera has packed up!!!!

it has been playing up a little while so I paid a lot of money for a new Battery, this was fine at first like taking pictures of two cards then it played up again, today it says the battery is unsuitable and yet it has taken some of the said pictures with it,
I really do think some ones trying to tell me something as my arthritis in my fingers has been playing up as well!!! I think i need a Christmas break lol,
anyhows onto my card lol
I've used some adorable Joy crafts die cuts for this card and then I've added vintage photo on the edges which is a look I love,
Noel Tilda is coloured with my distress re-inkers and I've added a hint of snow tex around the edges too,
Tilda has been cut out onto the 6002/0254 die from Joy crafts,
For this side I have used the fabby doily die 6003/1004,and snowflakes die 6002/2018 and the 6002/0135 die onto which I  have added a little script, the other doily is a cheery lynn die
This side has a snowflake border die 6002/2021 and an added snowflake die again 6002/2018, the bottom die is also by Joy crafts and is 6002/0262
the paper is by Magnolia,

Time for a brew!

Hi guys,  back today with my latest projects for Totally Tilda were the challenge this time is
Tilda on anything but a card,
I've made some coasters to go with my tissue box I posted on here a few posts back, scroll down if you wish to see it,

I've done a little tutorial on how I did these too,
Err excuse the mistakes!!!!! please, lol

recipe:
chipboard coaster bases plain - the range (last year)
Doobadoo mask art - floral swirl
blending foam
post it notes
stamp of your choice
distress inks / pumice stone, weathered wood/ black soot
distress ink blending foam
Ultra thick embossing powder
circle die cut
paper for copics
stamp positioner

Cut out the circles in card stock suitable for copic colouring and then using the stamp positioner place your image where you want it to be, I used Magnolia Tilda and placed her to one side as shown,
Next you need to make some masks for the images so you cover them up completely, you need to cut all the excess post it note paper away so remember to cut out the parts between her legs too, which I only remembered after taking this picture  duh!!!lol

Take the Dutch Doobadoo floral swirl mask and tape it in place so you like the pattern round it, lightly dab pumice stone onto your card stock through the mask taking care round the post it note mask on your image,
go over this with as many layers and colours of distress ink as you wish, I used three different ones,
when you have your colours to your liking, remove the floral art mask,
remove the mask from your image, then colour it in with your copics or whatever you choose to use,
to finish my coasters off I added ultra thick embossing powder, heat set it then did another layer again on top,
if the coaster curls slightly at this stage flatten them under a very heavy book,

I hope you like my tutorial, they are fun to do so why not have a go yourself lol,
We are being sponsored again by the fabby
thank you!
