Less is more

Hi guys, just a quick post to show you my card I made for my nephew for Christmas, he being not into fancy or frilly I've kept it quite manly looking I hope!

The fabby papers are from the lost and found Christmas pad by MME, the flourish trim die cut is a D-Lites die by Spellbinders,

I added a little extra  by stamping using vintage photo a holly border using a stamp from Magnolia,

the deer is a Marianne die and it's cut out with white card then gone over with the same vintage photo distress ink to tone in,

the fab button is a Prima one from the En-Francais collection,

Well I said it was a quick post as I've got my mum and sis visiting soon, so catch up with you later,

Winter Wonderland

Hi guys, back with my second post of the day, this time it's for 

the lovely Hanglar or sweet magnolia challenge

and the theme is 

Winter Wonderland

Yes, it's another scene card but my last one he he, made in a stepper style, all images are coloured with my distress re-inkers and then cut out,

sorry this was really hard to photograph and the sun was casting a shadow too, lol

the welcome to a sweet Christmas stamp is fixed at the back with Tilda with two gifts and Jingle Jangel Tilda  layered in front,

the middle layer has Tilda with snow heart and Tilda with Christmas Fir, the heart and fur effect have been made with liquid applique, a Marianne Christmas tree finishes off that layer,

The layer in front of that has Tilda with Lovikka mittens again layered onto a Doo Hickey lovely fence die as I do love her peeking over,with Jasper the cat and another Marianne tree with another Doo Hickey, a Grass die in front again,

these have been given the  snow Tex treatment,

To finish off the trees at the back right are Tim Holtz pine trees dies and a Doo Hickey lamp post is on the front,

Christmas is just around the corner

Hi guys, well it's time for our new challenge at Addicted to stamps

and this time it's Christmas time,
this card is also for my mid week card at Totally Tilda  which is a recipe of use at least two designer papers, ribbon and pearls, remember you have to use all the recipe to be in a chance to win,

I was asked to do a few commissioned Christmas cards and this was one of them, thankfully he loved them lol,

The stamp is of course by Magnolia called Tilda with a big Bouquet and has been coloured with my distress re-inkers, the papers are also by Magnolia from last year I think,

the beautiful lace is from live and love crafts, the gorgeous self adhesive rhinestones are from

the pretty little ribbon shop
text done on my computer,

When a work mate of my son saw this one he asked for one just like it too! I don't really do two of the same of anything so it's going to be a challenge lol!

Dancing queen

Hi guys, just popping by with my MCH dt card,

this time I've used a gorgeous Saturated Canary stamp called Isabella, isn't she gorgeous!

I've again used my distress re-inkers too colour her and added a pearl for her earring, 

the gorgeous papers are from the Tea Thyme pad and are so lovely,

Hi guys, just popping by to let you know that the pretty little ribbon shop now sells gorgeous flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts,
I've made a card using a few to show you too,
The green twirly things I made from the cut off stems, twirling them round my pokey tool,

Tilda was a freebie on the last Magnolia ink magazine and I have coloured her with my distress re-inkers, the papers are from the Fairy Belle collection,

I used the fabby sketch over at the sketchy challenges,

All my papers are machine sewn and the kraft card stock distressed with my distress tool,

Totally Tilda Christmas Recipe

Hi guys, at Totally Tilda this time the challenge for the next two weeks is a recipe

Use at least two designer papers

Ribbon

and Pearls

You must use all of the above for a chance to win, and of course have a Tilda or two on there too, remember Edwin can guest appear but only with Tilda for our challenges lol,

Here's my take on it,
sorry picture heavy again!! 

Yep! I've done another Christmas scene, this time it is a card though, made in a stepper style,

the papers are by Magnolia and are Christmas letter from xmas 2011 and holly script, I must admit I have hid them quite a bit but if you look closely they are there lol,

all my images are coloured with my copics then cut out  to create the scene,

the gorgeous 25mm forest green  lush ribbon is from the pretty little ribbon shop,

Tilda with two gifts is in front of the welcome to Christmas image, then on the next layer down I've added lovikka mittens Tilda on the top of the fence again peeking over!

Edwin with sack just had to guest appear didn't he you can't have xmas with out Santa! the fabby Marianne tree on the right of him was a gift from my sister, thanks Ann, who's probably looking, Hi sis!

She gave me the sleigh too MWAH! and I layered these up too with foam pads for depth and did the same for the quickcutz reindeer I've had for years,I linked these together with red button  twine from the pretty little ribbon shop the pearls are of course his red nose and the pearl string on the tree!

the grass die and fence  are Doo Hickey's and all have been coated with snow tex, to finish off I added a strip of enchanted lace from MCH and some Tim Holtz Pine trees too,

Hi guys

Well I've finally managed to get a post on here, been another of those weeks where the hours have flown by with out a minute to myself he he,

well apart from making a card all week, yes it's taken all week! a bit here and a bit there you know how it is!

this card is my MCH DT creation this week,

This gorgeous image is a Saturated Canary stamp that Teresa from My Crafty Heart has got in, along with some other gorgeous ones too, oh stamping heaven!!!!!!!

I've coloured my stamped image with my copics and the corners are made using a spellbinders D-lites frame one die that Teresa has now also got in stock too,

Isn't she fabulous!!!

I sprayed my flowers with perfect pearls mist then coated them with glamour dust and used the gorgeous clock charm again, so love these,

Bis for Butterflies

Hi guys, phew what a week I'm having, hardly got a minute to myself, long story to do with Tegan, her mum working, hair dresser, and job interview, (Kay not me) but that's another story and one I won't bother you with lol,

It's my second GDT at the ABC challenge, and it's

B for Butterflies

thanks so much for asking me to be your GDT girls, 

Here's my take on it, I love butterflies so I have quite a few styles lol,

The main card shape is made using a Go Kreate die #  square frame frilly7, it seemed a bit butterfly shaped to me! or is that my mind working in mysterious ways again? lol

my papers are by Magnolia and are distressed on the edges,

the inner shape is using a Go Kreate die # frilly 10,

Tilda is coloured with my distress re-inkers and then I've used a couple of Memory Box dies for the frame, love it but it's a little fiddly!

Midweek at Totally Tilda,

Hi girls,

Just a reminder that we have a sketch challenge going on at Totally Tilda, 

we are using the gorgeous sketch off Dawn

here's my second take on it,

This gorgeous special Magnolia Tilda is my favourite stamp at the moment, well apart from the cutie one with the reindeer but that's another story lol,

the papers are by Pion, so love these papers!!!!! gorgeous colours and designs,

the beautiful corners are from  Teresa at My Craft Heart, love these too,

closer view of Magnolia Tilda done with my distress re-inkers, the border is made using a grunge stamp from Stempelglede, wish these stamps were available over here again,

The gorgeous lush ribbon is from The Pretty Little Ribbon shop, as are the lovely  the gems,

For a little different corner detail I tied a strip of lilac tulle in a knot then layered a gorgeous flower by Prima on top,

the circle stamp is by cats life press and the bottom one is by Stampavie, doily from TPLRS too, ( in a sale at the moment )

My son came home the other day and said oh mum I meant to ask you yesterday if you can make a card for a work mates girlfriend, and he needed it asp! so I altered this one  as he wanted mummy written on the front, so where the To is on the cats life press stamp I added mummy did an insert with a lovely verse and hey presto instant card lol,

he was very pleased with it too, thank fully!

I don't know about you but when asked to make a card for some I always think I hope it's ok and good enough!

challenges I will check for later as I need to visit my mum today and typical it's just started pouring down! me and Tilly will be a little wet me thinks lol,

 just my mind working it's mysterious ways again I'm afraid, lol

here's mine

the tag on the left was made for my sons girlfriend for her Birthday, who loves boots,

so I used a quickcutz die I've had for years and did them in grey card stock as my son had bought her some in this colour way lol,

the gorgeous clock charm (so love these) are available from Teresa at my crafty heart,

the beautiful flowers are from WOC and other,

the text stamp is by Stampavie and I used vintage photo distress ink to stamp it in and the Magnolia  flourish stamp too,

This stamp is using Tilda with two presents from Magnolia, coloured with my distress re-inkers and I also used a Doo Hickey fence die and spruce tree dies too,

the snow effect is made with  snowtex, I also used a tim holtz Alterations snow flurries die for the edge,

the single snowflakes are using a quick cutz die too,

MCH DT card

Hi guys, well Christmas is coming so again I've made a card, my sons asked for three commissions for his work mate so I thought I'll need to get on with them soon, lol,

Most of my products are from my crafty heart apart from the stamps and cheesecloth,

Jingle jangel Tilda is coloured with my distress re-inkers to match the colours on the fab paper by MME, so funky!!!

the memory box snowflake die I cut out of white cardstock twice and layered them up off centre, then added a Prima crystal in the middle,
the flower heads and ground at Tildas feet have sparkle on them but it's typically not showing!!

The pretty little ribbon shop challenge

Hi guys, it's time for the pretty little ribbon shop challenge and for the first  this time it's set by me!!!

so hope you will join us eek!

I've chosen diecuts/punches, ribbon and charms

 so not to hard I hope lol,

I've made yet another Christmas scene, so into these this year, will finish up with loads of displays and no cards, lol,

Santa with sack is coloured with my distress re-inkers as is the welcome home stamp behind, the gorgeous doo hickey spruce tree has a lovely red pearl string on from TPLRS and I wove it around the tree for a garland,

   For the gorgeous red 25mm sheer elegance ribbon bow  at the top I layered two pieces of ribbon, each smaller than the one before then used another in the middle going the other way to finish it off, I added a flower on top for added decoration too,

The chipboard sleigh was a bargain in a sale at a local shop, so I just added snowtex on the bottom and used red twine from TPLRS to add the bell charms also from TPLRS and made Tilda with Lovikka mittens holding them waiting for Rudolf !!! lol

again I cut the around the inner arms to sit her on top of the doo hickey lovely fence like she's peeking over,

the Tim holtz spruce trees, doo hickey grass and doo hickey lamp post were all given the snow tex treatment too,

 The paper is by Magnolia,

The lovely Sarah is also holding a DT call for 2 new members at the moment, the closing date is 26th November  details here,

the girls are lovely and you get to work with some of Sarah's gorgeous goodies in her shop too, so I do hope you apply,

The ABC challenge GDT

Hi Guys, the lovely Julie asked me to be GDT for the ABC challenge, and of course I said yes!  the theme this time is 

A for APPRECIATION

A thank you card or gift for someone special,

I've made a couple of coasters with a presentation box,

Sorry this post is picture heavy again lol!

I made the box to fit the coasters and cut out the aperture using a round spell binders die and then a larger scalloped one for the trim,

the gorgeous papers are from the lost and found pad,

the coasters were sold at The Range in a plain state to be altered any way you fancied,

I layered Pion paper onto the base then added a Cheery Lynn doily die for texture and detail, this made it not too thick but looked nice lol,

I then layered a circle scalloped nestie with a plain one with the image on and then coated the whole thing with heat embossing powder, this sealed the coaster for when in use,

My images are coloured with my distress re-inkers and the edges are stamped with a flourish stamp by Magnolia in vintage photo,
