A tag for the Birthday girl

Hi guys,

It's been one of those weeks, we're I can't get for going!!!!! you know the one where you start off with all good intentions and end up doing none of them lol,

It was supposed to be a week off from looking after Tegan this week, then Kay had to work the first two days, so right free time from Wednesday! wrong, they came to visit with a few things needed to do then asked if we could help sort out some stuff at their end on Thursday too lol, so here we are Friday, and I finally can craft!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

It's Tegans 1st Birthday on Monday and I've made her a tag to go with her pressies, lol

I've deliberately kept the colours soft again on the copics as her hair is a very light brown/ dark blond so this is very close!!! lol
I've used a Doo Hickey tag die for the shape and enlarged it using my printer, then for added detail used a gorgeous Cheery Lynn Sophia's Heart doily and some pink lacey ribbon too,

I was in the middle of colouring her skirt when I ran out of R81 and had to go out and buy another, thankfully It doesn't show lol, though the piggy's skirt blended better with a new pen!

ATSC Recycle

Hi guys,
hope your weekend is lovely where you are,
for my project today for Addicted to Stamps I've recycled a Zovirax box

My mind always goes blank when I have a recycling challenge to do so I keep all sorts of things to hopefully inspire me and this time this was it lol

My mind works in mysterious ways and when looking at it I thought!oh that would make a lovely seat for a wedding couple lol,
first I covered it with paper and inked all the edges with walnut stain distress inks after distressing the upper edges,

I then covered another layer on the front in Pion paper that had hints of muted colours, over that I added some gorgeous lace, lace flower trim for mock cushions, pearl string, two Marianne heart dies that I joined together in the middle and a Doo Hickey heart swirl die for the back,

I made some arms for the sofa using another Marianne die which I edged with the distress ink too,
to finish the ends off I added flowers to the sides,

a couple of lace flowers edged sideways finish it off too on the sitting part, the gorgeous Magnolia couple from an older collection we're coloured with my distress re-inkers and then cut out, I fixed them using a strip of card behind the figures and stuck on the settee as shown, I  hid these strips with the lace flowers after by bringing the lace flowers forward,
to finish off my sofa/settee I placed it on my latest Marianne die cut, see previous post and added a Sissix lamp post finished off with a few pearls at the back, these we're edged with walnut stain distress ink too,

Hope your not fed up with my numerous pictures again lol
do check out my lovely teamies creations,

Swan lake

Hi guys, I've done another something different for me lol
no stamping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I always used to be doing parchment craft years ago, had most of the tools and everything, well the other day I thought I'll do a swan again and of course I  had got rid of my tools hadn't I,
so I improvised!!!!!!
the swan is traced and I used white crayon instead of the white ink, then I just embossed it with a ball tool which should have been larger but made do with a medium one,
coloured the back with the same white pencil for shadow then cut the swan and separate wings out,
these I then embossed again on the edges and on the swan in the middle,

After cutting all the edges of the leaves I used my ball tool to add shape again and layered the wings on using pinflair glue,

sideways views

I have plans to do another shortly a little different so may do a little tutorial if you'd be interested lol,
I made an easel card using a gorgeous new Marianne die that I'd seen and just couldn't resist he he,
and too finish it off used the sprig effect from the same  set of dies and used a Marianne flower die for the flowers in two sizes,
the butterflies are Marianne too,
I must admit I've had a lot of these Marianne dies a long time and not really used them as I find  some of them hard to leave the dies, but I've since found out if I put a layer of greaseproof  baking paper in front of the card and run my dies through the machine a couple of times it helps lol, also embossing the die really works too,

sorry for the overload on pictures again, the gorgeous pearls I used we're from

Tilda's Farm

Hi guys,
for today's post I've made a stepper card using some of the latest gorgeous Magnolias again from the Turning Leaves collection and made them  a thatch cottage for their farm house, well that's the idea anyway lol,

For my main card shape I've used a Go Kreate die then used a Marianne design English cottage die cut for their home, to do the roof I cut out the roof part again in watercolour paper and coloured it with with distress inks after embossing it for the edges to stand out, I then trimmed under the eaves and layered it with pinfalir glue so the windows look recessed, it looks more recessed in RL than it does on here lol,
the main house is also coloured with my distress inks but I cut it out onto linen effect card,
I've added a hint of lace behind the windows for a romantic softer look,

The sign  is made using a Marianne Sign Board die too and I cut it out of Kraft card stock the butterfly is a Marianne die too,
Tilda with carrots is coloured with my distress ink re-inkers and a hint of distress markers too and then cut out,
the fence is made out of a Doo Hickey die using Kraft card to fit in with the sign, I attempted to make a gate using a spellbinders die and added brads for the post

again I've added another Marianne butterfly too the fence too,
Goose bump Tilda  is also coloured with my distress re-inkers and markers too and cut out and added the same way with the pinflair,
to look more like a farm the orchard has long grass and the tree has had it's fruit picked lol,

the butterfly on the top right is by Cheery Lynn and on all of them I've added some pearls,
the tag is using another Marianne butterfly die and the tag die ( Envelope die) is also one too,

the tag holder was a lovely gift from a friend, thank you hun,
As you know I love my dies and love to use them as often as I can,

Marianne's design Diva's are holding a DT call at the moment so thought I'd have a go,
Cheery Lynn ~ shaped card

hope your enjoying the lovely weather while it lasts,

It feels like Autumn

Hi guys, well it's not been a brill summer that's for sure, still waiting for it to come don't hold out much luck though!
I just love these latest Magnolias from the turning leaves collection and when I saw the inspirational photo on Magnolia-licious highlites I couldn't resist making a card,

Yep! back to my distress re-inkers lol, for the background, Tilda with corn, acorns and tree! phew
I've used a Go Kreate die to make my base card then used a Tim Holtz distressed doily die, some raffia and cheesecloth and a paper doily for detail and texture,
the flowers are froma a local craft shop and the leaves are a Tim Holtz Alterations die called Autumn Gatherings, apt hey?
I cut my tree out,( flippin hard it was too lol )then layered it with pin Flair glue,
I distressed the fence with some sand paper to get a grunge aged look,
the cute bird meant to look like a Robin yes we get those in Britain in  Autumn /winter here, was from Hobby Craft,
the paper is from Magnolia too and is gorgeous, though I've managed to hide it quite well he he,
