Hi guys,
for today's post I've made a stepper card using some of the latest gorgeous Magnolias again from the Turning Leaves collection and made them a thatch cottage for their farm house, well that's the idea anyway lol,
For my main card shape I've used a Go Kreate die then used a Marianne design English cottage die cut for their home, to do the roof I cut out the roof part again in watercolour paper and coloured it with with distress inks after embossing it for the edges to stand out, I then trimmed under the eaves and layered it with pinfalir glue so the windows look recessed, it looks more recessed in RL than it does on here lol,
the main house is also coloured with my distress inks but I cut it out onto linen effect card,
I've added a hint of lace behind the windows for a romantic softer look,
The sign is made using a Marianne Sign Board die too and I cut it out of Kraft card stock the butterfly is a Marianne die too,
Tilda with carrots is coloured with my distress ink re-inkers and a hint of distress markers too and then cut out,
the fence is made out of a Doo Hickey die using Kraft card to fit in with the sign, I attempted to make a gate using a spellbinders die and added brads for the post
again I've added another Marianne butterfly too the fence too,
Goose bump Tilda is also coloured with my distress re-inkers and markers too and cut out and added the same way with the pinflair,
to look more like a farm the orchard has long grass and the tree has had it's fruit picked lol,
the butterfly on the top right is by Cheery Lynn and on all of them I've added some pearls,
the tag is using another Marianne butterfly die and the tag die ( Envelope die) is also one too,
the tag holder was a lovely gift from a friend, thank you hun,
As you know I love my dies and love to use them as often as I can,
hope your enjoying the lovely weather while it lasts,
hugs Liz xx
