Hi guys, is it raining where you are? it's pouring down here not a bit like summer at all lol, cool too,
well it's Thursday so of course it's time for Colour create and Paper plays challenges,
colours are
blue,green,white,red and brown
the optional extra is Texture,
see a nice easy one for you,
This gorgeous Sarah Kay image is coloured with copics, the edges are distressed with DI'S, I've used white flower soft for the clouds and bits around the ground for flowers with texture lol, the gorgeous ribbon is velvety so that too has texture,
I've also used cheesecloth,
check out the gorgeous creations my lovely team mates have made, they are fab,
challenges
well this was a challenge for me as I hadn't done it before, and I don't know I've done it now lol, but here's my version anyway he he,
I've stamped Daisy onto water colour paper and then coloured her with Distress inks, the background has been made around her by using distress inks in the same colour ways, I've stamped this gorgeous butterfly stamp in two of the used colours and I've added pearl dots for the end of the antenna, all edges are sewn and finished off with white acrylic paint too,
I thought for a change I'd do a different style of card so the front is 9cm's wide,
again I've used the same technique for the inside, only this time some of my butterflies are stamped first onto a spare piece of paper to make them paler,( there is a name for this only I can't for the life of me think what it is lol) this gives the illusion of them being in the distance, I used a stronger colour for the main flower image so that looks like it's in the foreground,
the nestie die cut oval has again the same idea only I left it quite soft so you can add a little writing or sentiment,
To finish the card off, all images are machine sewn, layered onto card stock then finished with white acrylic paint, and a little ribbon to tie the card together,
the gorgeous background stamps are all one set from Indigo Blue ~ nature I
