It's Thursday!

Hi guys, this is on scheduled post just in case Kay has gone into labour, as of yet there is no sign and boy is she fed up!!! lol
anyway the cards I'm posting today are of course for Colour Create and Paper play,

Colour create has a lovely colour challenge for you by our lovely Kerry and it's
Red, Kraft and white, the optional extra is create your own background paper,

now as you know this is something I don't do a lot of, but this time I have stamped in moonlight white brilliance ink the snowflakes, heat embossed with clear embossing powder  over the top, added Barn door Distress ink with cut and dry foam, then rubbed over it with a dry baby wipe which then reveals the white embossed snowflakes,

I've attached this to craft coloured card stock and machine sewn the edges,
the main image is of course by Magnolia and is coloured with copics,
the sentiment is stamped again on the craft card and I made the die cut leaves out of it too,
the poinsettias are a Magnolia stamp which I did with the same DI, then cut two out and layered them,

copics,
Skin ~ E000  ~ 00 ~ 01 ~ 11 ~ R20

I've used my favourite Sissix clock die again so useful this and added Tim Holtz spinners as the clock hands again too, a computer generated sentiment finishes it off,

we also are having a DT call, so you have if you fancy having a go put DT after you name and who knows!!

lovely flowers hey, my garden is still full of soil and weeds at the moment lol,
It's taken me ages to do this card as I lost my mojo last week and with Kay visiting so much by the time she'd gone I just couldn't get my head round it, you may still think that when you've seen it he he,
I used Daisy the other day and loved her so instead of putting her in the drawer to hide again I decided to put her on here lol, not to sure of her colouring on this one either, it was about to go in the bin then I thought it's ok now I'm not sure, let me know what you think!!!!
the papers are Basic Grey from the Wisteria collection, I was lucky enough to go to a craft shop on my hols that had two of the pads so I bought them as I think they are now discontinued,
the roses are from a Marianne die, the leaves are a Crealies die,
I've also used my Fiskars roses border punch for the frame again too only this time I've added card stock behind,
a little bit of Star Dust stickels finishes the card off,

As you can see I've used one of my favourite Magnolia Tildas, and coloured her using copics, not to sure of the colour of her dress, but if fit perfectly to match the paper lol,
the papers are of course Basic Grey from the Olivia pad 6x6,
I've also used some gorgeous lace I got from the market the other day, nearly to nice to use he he,

Flowers are various places, market, WOC, The craft range, the gorgeous doily heart was from a craft fair,
all edges are machine stitched too, and layered on to paper mania card stock,

Happy Birthday Princess

Hi guys,
just a quick post today as we are in the garden moving soil, I know how exciting can you get lol,
we are filling in a large pond we used to have and believe me it's taking ages, every time we think it's nearly done the stuff sinks and we need some more lol,
anyway enough of my rabble or my short post won't be short he he,
Fit for a princess
which must include a princess Tilda or the word or  a  crown,
we were provided a gorgeous digi sentiment from Lynne, Thanks hun
I've used a go Kreate die for the main shape, distressed the edges with walnut stain DI, used yet some more of that lovely gorgeous lace a little bling and of course gorgeous cute Tilda,
she's coloured with copics which I spent ages blending and adding depth to her dress then I added lots of glamour dust and now it's all hidden and you can't tell, just thought I'd pass that on so nobody takes ages on colouring as now you know he he,

I've not managed to find any challenges that fit so for now she's just here lol,
well out to play lol,
thanks for looking, see you later

I'm back lol,

Hi guys, it's still raining here but we've had a lovely day, Kay came round and we went to my mums, then we finished up going out to lunch, which was lovely, we treated ourselves to dessert too, and we were all stuffed after wards lol,
this is the third card on  my blog today,
this time it's one I made earlier on this week, just for the fun of it lol,
I'm trying a slightly different look, less fussy, is it better? if not let me know, I don't bite honest!!!
the images are of course masked and then they are coloured with copics, all my edges are machine sewn and layered on to cardstock,
papers are Magnolia and Basic Grey,
The sun of course isn't shining so the pictures are a little dull as I've yet to find the right light DUH!!!, how long have I been on here lol,

Challenges
TOMIC ~ Masking

will look for more later tonight unless I get a call from Kay to say she's in labour lol, oh well at least she's well fed he he,
thanks so much for your visit again, I will get to you soon,
welcome also to my new followers,

Summer Time

Hi guys, is it raining where you are? it's pouring down here not a bit like summer at all lol, cool too,
well it's Thursday so of course it's time for Colour create and Paper plays challenges,

This time for Colour create it's my challenge!
colours are
 blue,green,white,red and brown
the optional extra is Texture,
see a nice easy one for you,

This gorgeous Sarah Kay image is coloured with copics, the edges are distressed with DI'S, I've used white flower soft for the clouds and bits around the ground for flowers with texture lol, the gorgeous ribbon is velvety so that too has texture,
I've also used cheesecloth,

check out the gorgeous creations my lovely team mates have made, they are fab,
challenges
Die cut dreams ~ Holiday fun,

Paper play want make your own Designer Paper,
well this was a challenge for me as I hadn't done it before, and I don't know I've done it now lol, but here's my version anyway he he,

I've stamped Daisy onto water colour paper and then coloured her with Distress inks, the background has been made around her by using distress inks in the same colour ways, I've stamped this gorgeous butterfly stamp in two of the used colours and I've added pearl dots for the end of the antenna, all edges are sewn and finished off with white acrylic paint too,
I thought for a change I'd do a different style of card so the front is 9cm's wide,
again I've used the same technique for the inside, only this time some of my butterflies are stamped first onto a spare piece of paper to make them paler,( there is a name for this only I can't for the life of me think what it is lol) this gives the illusion of them being in the distance, I used a stronger colour for the main flower image so that looks like it's in the foreground,
the nestie die cut oval has again the same idea only I left it quite soft so you can add a little writing or sentiment,
To finish the card off, all images are machine sewn, layered onto card stock then finished with white acrylic paint, and a little ribbon to tie the card together,
the gorgeous background stamps are all one set from Indigo Blue ~ nature I
challenges
Dream Valley ~ Distressing
Corrosive challenge ~ Earth tones
Oldie but a goodie ~ The great outdoors,
The paper shelter ~ stitching
Stampavie and more ~Hand made backgound

well guys, think that's it, Kay's still popping in for a chat lol,
will catch up with you soon,

Tuesday, 9 August 2011

Hello

Hi guys, Kay's visiting on and off this week as she's left work now to have her baby due in two weeks,
so I'm putting  on a card while I have chance he he,
I've used one of my all time favourite Tildas, I just love her she's so cute, any way she's coloured with distress re-inkers yes I'm still practising lol,
I've followed the gorgeous  sketch over at MDU but put it into my frame made with my Fiskers roses punch, thought it needed to be seen again as it is so easy to use and gives a lovely effect, well I think so anyway lol,
the papers are Magnolia and Basic Grey and all edges are machine sewn then given the crackle paint effect on the edges,
As you can see her dress has been given the Glamour dust treatment and the roses have been stickled,
challenges
will check later for any more that fit,
oh well best be off it's gorgeous here today for once and the washing is shouting to be let out!!! lol
catch you guys later,

Addicted to stamps challenge

Hi guys, gosh Sunday already doesn't time fly lol,
our challenge this time over at Addicted to stamps is
Anything goes,
so a nice easy one for you,
I've used my same new Grand Nesties die the same one  as the last post but this time used it for a mans card, it's my nephews Birthday tomorrow and he is defo not a frills man, so not buttons, ribbon and if I'd put on flowers I'd never have heard the end of it lol,
of course doesn't leave much does it? lol
The image and the background are coloured with my distress re-inkers and I used a nestie die for it, the outer one I traced round the outer edge of the same  die and distressed it with my distress tool,
I've used a Sissix letter die and doodled on them and the edges of my card, the paper is Tim Holtz, shabby chic, I've put on a strip of raffia but that's probably to much too lol,
Challenges
Craft us crazy ~ Anything goes
Crafts and me ~ anything goes
Sir Stamplalot ~ free n easy
Just Magnolia ~ Anything goes

will catch up with you soon, have a lovely Sunday

The fabulous paper is from the Hello Lucious collection 6x6, love this paper pad
The gorgeous heart ribbon was from a local market and the gorgeous roses ribbon is the last of a gift, and I have loved it too, thank you,

Contemplating Tilda

Hi guys,
Thought I was going to be having fun this morning was busy writing away on my computer when it stopped dead, the writing I mean lol, any way the reason was my keyboard had died or at least the batteries had so I'm back now he he,
I made a circle card which has scalloped edges and believe me are they hard to make sure they will stand up properly lol,

As you can see I've used a Go Kreate scalloped circle die and then a smaller circle die for the middle section which I have stitched and distressed,
I have added cheesecloth, cardboard, gorgeous lace, pearls, a feather, flowers and charms, do you think overkill? lol

Tilda is again coloured with re-inkers then cut out, it's harder cutting out water colour paper than my copic one he he,

I've had this gorgeous lace ages and haven't used it but thought it went ok on here, the roses were bought last week at a market, the pearl dropper under the roses was an old earring, the butterflies, flowers and Tildas top have been given the star dust stickles treatment,
Papers are from Magnolia,

Challenges
TOMIC ~ Circle card
MDU ~ Bingo ~Flowers, pearls, lace
see you guys later,
love and hugs Liz xx
