My Lovely Friends,

I'm Charmed by you!

Hi guys,
ooooooo the Bride looked gorgeous didn't she! and her bridesmaid's too the little ones so pretty and the maid of honour dress so slinky!
oh to be able to look like THAT in THAT dress lol!

sorry enough of my rambling not what you're here for right! lol

Our challenge today at Basic Grey  is for a charm/s to be added to your project nice and easy for you eh!
my card is for for my hubby for our Wedding Anniversary in three weeks, I've used one of the Fizzy Moon bears as I love his banners and you can do so many different things on them,
my papers are from the Pyrus paper pad and I thought went great for a man's card,
He is of course coloured with Copics and has Diamond Glaze on his nose and button which of course hasn't shown up on my photo, since I've had to change rooms again I just can't find the right light, any ideas?
I've used my scroll stamp for a little extra detail using my Distress Inks,
thought I'd use twine for hanging the charm as it seemed to fit the card and the colours,
Now I know men don't usually do flowers but seeing as it's our 31st Wedding Anniversary he was having some on the card whether he wanted them or not, lol and hopefully it's not made it look too pretty

Just because Your special

Hi guys,
having a break from decorating, the weathers been gorgeous and were have I been? painting and stripping wallpaper,
last night after tea the wind got up, we had thunder and lightning and rain, then  this morning it's gone all dull so at least I won't be as bothered at being in  lol,

the card I've done for today it's for Totally Tilda's challenge and this time it's for
paper piecing,
we are being sponsored by our lovely Lynne of
and of course I have used her gorgeous sentiment digi,

well you know how I've not been able to get to the craft shops, of course I had no small print papers the went together easily and the only one I could find was this small spot, and believe me I tried to find some, I printed my different stamps out on all sorts of papers and none of them looked right lol,

do check out my teamies though who have done gorgeous creations with their's

I have given my Distress inks an airing, I've done the background again too, need to practise more though lol,
I've also used some cheese cloth which is a pain I can tell you, as it wants to curl up when you've cut it as you can see on the piccies as when I made it it showed all under the main layer, will make a note to self to cut it larger to allow for shrinkage next time lol,

A little while ago I saw some cards you could buy with the edges cut off like above, well me being me thought I can do that myself! well I have a few times but gosh is it harder than I thought, trying to cut them similar and on a curve, should have bought the ones I saw after all lol,

Easter wishes!

Hi guys,
We are having gorgeous weather, beautifully warm, well hot actually and I hear so are you lol,

It's Thursday and time for colour create and paper play challenges,
I've used the same card for both as life has been a bit hectic lately lol,

Paperplay's challenge
Is for Easter so anything to do with Easter is fine,

Colour create's challenge
Is mine! and it's for the colours pink, blue and brown
with the optional extra of acetate or cracked glass effects,

Here is the image

I must have been mad to choose this as I've never done cracked glass effects before and with my son's upheaval I had run out of acetate and didn't get chance to buy some more lol,
so here's my attempt!
I've used this gorgeous Magnolia stamp with her little lamb, it's been coloured with copics, but do beware that when you add embossing powder it does change the colours slightly as her hair was more dark on the left to go with the right lol,
as I said it was my first attempt at the cracked glass look but I only had fine embossing powder so needed to use 4 layers instead of one thick one, oh well I'll know for next time,

First I want to wish my lovely friend Mandy
VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY

It is of course our second addicted to stamps challenge today, and this time we have a gorgeous sketch for you by our lovely Nadell

as always you can interpret this as you like,

I've used this image I've had a while and not used much, don't know why because she's lovely!
need to check up who's she is unless any body knows that is lol,
She's been coloured with Copics, my Distress inks will  really be  thinking they are neglected, although I have edged the circle in a light covering of Antique Linen,
I machine sewed my edges but for a change just made holes with my machine on  my image mat, the papers are from a magazine and were a freebie,
Hopefully you can see the glitter too,
challenges:

Before I go I want to show you the gorgeous Deer we had across the road this morning ,

Aren't they gorgeous, we think it's a mum and her calf, we stood for about 15 minutes just watching them and taking pictures of course, which is fab because normally they run for cover lol,

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday,

again it's coloured with Copics, I'm going to have forgotten how to use my Distress Inks soon lol,
I've used my fan embellishments and some gorgeous paper flowers which I just added a pearl in the centre as I thought it made them look like oriental blossom, the coin is from stash I've had for years, the butterfly is of course a Martha Stewart punch,
I layered two strips of ribbon top and bottom of my middle paper strip but you have to hunt to see it lol,

I had a go at black hair, but boy is it hard to do,and you have to be careful when photographing  as it can look blue lol,

I'm Back!!!!

Hey I'm back, twice in one day with a third card lol,

I fancied making a card a bit different from my usual style, ie no distressed edges with a tool and no stitching lol, has it worked or should I go back he he,
I've made the card for the Magnolia Down Under challenge which is to use Heavy Metal,
I've used my favourite Tilda and coloured her with Copics, my poor Distress inks will think they've been forgotten about !

Now I couldn't leave my edges plain could I so they are distressed with Tim Holtz crackle paint lol, the papers are all Magnolia,
the Victorian edge was done with my trimmer

For you mum,

Hi Guys,
Earlier this week I made this for my mum for mothers day, so thought I'd put it on here and show you lol,
I've seen a few of these book cards in blog land lately and thought I'd have a go,
make a brew I've a few pictures lol!
My mum loves pale colours and daffodils, well I had no stamp with just Daffs so I masked tilda with tulips on to a fence which had a few peeking out,
I've coloured these with copics and edges the are distressed with Antique Linen Distress ink,
The paper is from the Tim Holtz shabby pad and my edges are sewn,
I did the inside in the book style and on the left is a pocket for a removable tag on which I used the distress ink again and with the same colour did a border using the same colour with a Stempelglede grunge stamp,
I put a few words in the middle,
I did the same frame effect on the top and around the book,
Here's a close up of the book, I edged the top edges with a Martha Stewart border punch, then I distressed it with Vintage photo for a bit of  an aged look,
I hope you can see the frame effect on the card too,

Back to the front,

I used various flowers then took a butterfly button and a pearl button and took off the shanks, ( not easy) I can tell you, they ping all over the place lol, then I  mounted them with the flowers, Magnolia swirl die, and pearl strings
The top left corner has a quickcutz die and some more pearls finish off the card on the card and inside on the MS Butterlflies,
Challenges
